Both dramas are xianxia genre i get that but the story arc for this one is far different from the blossoming love. Each characters are differently written too. FL in TBL was meant to be a seductress so ofc she'd be sexy and all that with ML, whereas plot of MM isn't meant to be sexy, ML here in MM is a demon but he was never suppose to be domineering he has another identity which explains why he isn't like other types of demons. So far I have no problem with Ao Rui Peng acting up until now. Infact I watch this show for Bai Lu but didn't expect to like ARP too. The main character in this drama is adapted from Yuemi and Tianqi in ALP they were immortals and something happened to them so they reincarnated into mortals, this drama was dedicated to tell the love story of the two as they are given second chance in life.

LFBAD had more lighter roles bcoz of the body switching so like you i didn't cry that much there too. As for FOF I cried only around second half of drama but in MM i cried from start to now 😭😭😭 I totally get you 🥺

You know the thing about this drama is that the side characters don't leave that much impact at first but when we uncover their backstory and when they have tragic ending, cant help but feel for them and bawl my eyes out, why they gotta hurt us like this. Then next torture will be about the main leads. I think I will ran out of tears by then.
