main characters romance start out for personal gains at first, but later as story progress they come to understand each other and form tacit understanding they are a healthy couple who can resolve problems quickly bcoz they know how to communicate and are very willing to sacrifice for each other, their romance is beautiful and chemistry is really great between two actors.

as for second main leads they aren't main focus of the drama bcoz this drama was created to tell the romance between goddess Yuemi and God Tianqi from ALP, this story is about their reincarnation to mortal world so the second leads don't have much focus but they have their own amount of scenes, only 2nd fl have feelings for the 2nd ml for now, the 2nd ml is still inlove with the fl, he will kinda get annoying at some point bcoz he will keep chasing after fl but for now there is not much romantic development between the second couple and they are both share toxic type of relationship which you might enjoy if you are into such but just don't get your hopes up for them too fast bcoz we still don't know if 2nd ml will be able to reciprocate 2nd fl feeling but you can still enjoy their scenes

yes you can drop it too since this is male centric drama and the director didn't focus much on romance and added bl elements, the 2ML have more screen time than FL you will end up disappointed ✌🏻since you like FL more than ML.

Well she did go through 300 years of torment for the ML, consolidate with Yinglei, made Pei Sijing who was always cold-ish break down her cool exterior and soften, she gave ZYC will to live again and she taught ZYZ about love. The director did her dirty by the ending but we can't discredit the other things she did. Might I add she was also the one who taught ZYZ that being a demon is okay too, the line ZYZ said to ZYC to comfort him actually came from her. She was wise in these aspects and courageous too. But yes if you do prefer only strong FL that is fine too. ✌🏻

I never hold standards for female leads so for me whether weak or strong is a good fl character bcoz I consider other aspects of a character other than just physically strength which you clearly pointed out about her not helping her teammates when there is a fight.

I disagree with your opinion. I think this matter is subjective. Some people just can't accept weak female lead, even if she will be written as strong female lead you will still hear complain. She isn't a poor character, she still contributed to the team, yes she is not overpowering and isn't physically strong but her strength lies in different area, she is strong willed and she is the one who made the demon hunting team come together without her they would be ruthless and not grow from their own mindsets. She is rather wise character than poor. The only aspect GJM did her dirty at is not giving her enough scenes and for the rest she is a good character.

I think this is subjective and it just depends on whether one can accept weak fl or not. IMO Wen Xiao is not a bad character, yes she is physically weak but if you only focus on that aspect you will miss out on other aspects that make her character. She stood as a pillar for the group which brought them closer together, she is clever and she saved ZYZ. The only problem with her character is that she was pushed aside but she was a great character bcoz she is very strong willed. If you compare it to ZYC who felt so lost in life the moment he turned to demon, whereas WX on other hand even when faced with death she was very determined to live.
