As a public health worker I appreciate the shoutout. And primary care too, looked down even by fellow doctors.
Now I am doing a residency and overall I am not fan of medical shows cause I watch tv to unwind and not to be reminded of work but right now I do need to see doctors struggle on tv to not feel alone and this has a beautiful setting so it's a win-win.
Once again, the doctor/nurse romance trope is tiring but this is cute.
Hopefully someday people will realize there are more healthcare workers other than nurses and MDs and explore those roles and dynamics too (if there are any shows, recs are welcome)
I'm going to write this without seeing even a minute of an episode and based on the description on Disney + alone but I hate the doctor/nurse romance trope...
But I'm watching anyway, hopefully this will make me change my mind
A politician being corrupt, fork found in kitchen.
What shocked me the most is daebimama being surprised about what her father thinks of her. We've been all thinking it for the last 9 episodes and you have given us not one reason to think otherwise.
I hope they once again comunicate and realise they are stronger as a team, please, don't turn into a melodrama for the last episodes.
I'm just vibing with this drama, the love story and chemistry is there, I find myself smiling to myself with both couples and how cute they are, but I'm shocked it's nearing it's end. I do think they can still wrap everything up nicely without being rushed regarding the crown plot but I don't think 2L couple can grow in time and I hope Huiju admits her true feelings next week too.
I was having a fun time dying of cuteness and enjoying the peaceful vibe of this drama when they finally showed how dangerous being in the navy can be, then I remembered the time period and what was happening and would happen in Japan's war history... I'm just going to see this as an AU ❤️
Having lots of fun with this one. My only critique is I hope they do not continue with this "scandal of the week" kinda procedural formula once they actual plot kicks. Weirdly I seem to be one of the few people that started watching for Gong Myung. With the dramas he did last year he proved how versatile of an actor and how charming he is.
I've been trying to watch ep. 6 all over the weekend then life happens :( I only have 30 minutes left.
Can I say I love how Hui Ju's brother and her wife, while being there to represent dumb villains and comic relief, truly love each other?
I'm also loving we are getting a second lead couple.
I know if daebimama could, she would bring full on ruling monarchy back, she's so obsessed with power. Babe relax, enjoy the palace and the beautiful gowns and how gorgeous you look on them.
The kind of fun I needed for a saturday night. Very good looking people that can act and with great comedia timing and a fun interesting plot, what more can I ask for?
why does it have to be groundbreaking???? why is it "only" home shopping.. ??? so many ppl here seem to…
It does not. It´s a simple story that if it is told well can turn out to be a great drama, that´s why I'll keep watching. But this type of story has been told many times before, hence why I say it is not groundbreaking.
TBH I´d actually prefer if they do not try to reinvent the wheel and just make a good drama.
I also could not connect to FL workaholic persona at first because I honestly find her job to be dumb, and that's on me. I cannot imagine being that into selling home goods on tv. It's not her issue, it's mine. Like I sided with the doctor exBF when he said "I do surgery and still find time for myself what's your issue".
But her acting and the writing was very great and at the end I was invested and rooting for her to suceed and heal. Maybe my og comment did not came across as praise as I intended.

I know it's to move the plot but I'm kinda sad the wedding scene was ruined.
The prince is so damn charming he has me giggling whenever he acts cute.
