I get what you mean but it can't work like that... if he goes back he'll be back in his body so when they meet no romantic relationship will be involved. I would still be happy that they got to see each other, (if that is how things go) but I rather have them end up together as a couple.

My perdition for the ending I think they will do what Life on Mars (KR) did. Basically in that show the ML was forced to go back to his current time but decided to go back to 1988 (somehow) as he felt his true home was there.
So maybe that will happen to Mr. Queen? She/he wakes up from the coma but is missing everything from that time, and decides to go back (somehow).
I Just really want a happy ending so I'm trying to make an excuse on how they could end the series...
