I am enjoying this or I wouldâve dropped but some aspects of it are lowkey frustrating.
1) the way the daughter argues w her mum is really rude. we all get angry sometimes but talk things out politely in private. sheâs literally shouting at her mum in front of other people, thereâs ZERO respect.
2) whereâs the love line going w the 2 kids & the 2 parents? if mum & her high school sweetheart get together/marry then the kids will be step-siblings - so it feels a bit odd rn.
3) ending of ep 4 was strange. how tf did the grandma find them in the middle of a random countryside village after over 2 DECADES after abandoning her daughter?
And yeorum too. Imagine being hospitalized by your abusive father then being gaslighted into thinking you're too…
right!!! he literally stabbed her & they all acted like she was being selfish for wanting him to go jail. he commited a crime â ď¸ jailâs where he belongs
I got so hooked into this show bc of the healing aspect, I love shows with that vibe.
But ep 10 REALLY pissed me off. Yh Bomâs a grieving teen but how could she not stand up for 1 of the only people thatâs been by her side with no judgment? and itâs kinda crazy how no one in the town (including the policemen) said anything about bomâs dad publicly slapping yeoreum? thatâs literally assault, it doesnât matter how he felt at the time - itâs still a crime.
also jaehoon is freaking lovely & so devoted to Bom, the way she treats him is shit. she doesnât deserve him & the guy should honestly just get on & focus on his own life. stop living for a girl who wonât even prioritise you. His aunt was giving him good advice.
Also Jiyoung is sooooo petty đđ like girl, why you acting like that at your big age? I donât get why Sungminâs so into her
now that qingyu knows the reason for beiyuâs death & itâs obvious not much can be done - I want her to move on. Itâs tough but when people die, you canât stay stuck on it. you have to move on & take into account that life is short, make the most of it. Qingyu needs to enjoy her youth, focus on her studies, achieve her dream & live the life she wants rather than be stuck on the past/regrets.
sheng seems to be getting a grip on that reality. heâs moved out & started focussing on french for his future. qingyu needs to do the same. if sheâs into dance, she can get the grades for a uni away from her parents & move out there to study dancing
theyâre going more into detail w subplots of side characters than I expected.I was thinking this is mainly about the truth of Beiyuâs death but quite a few of the past eps have spent majority of the screentime on Qingyu/Sheng not getting on & Mumuâs family issues
probably the impact of low socioeconomic housing... that kind of environment breeds a cycle of disadvantage which…
fair point. but Iâve also seen/known plenty of people from disadvantaged backgrounds who use it as motivation to get into a better place later in life, itâs sad that there doesnât seem to be people like that in those apartments?
why are those entire apartment blocks full of toxic people? â ď¸ qingyuâs overbearing parents, mumuâs intoxicated violent dad, all the nosy neighbourhood ladies etc etc
Our girl can really endure a lot, she pushes MingSheng away, as she said she doesnât want to be burdened by…
Honestly, more than âI hate youâ, I think the line âyouâre a burden to meâ might have been worse for Sheng. Being a burden was one of his worst insecurities. Heâs always viewed himself as a burden to his parents & there was that past ep when he was messaging Qingyu & wanted reassurance that he isnât a burden
shengâs mum literally let her sonâs hatred for his father grow (for a whole DECADE) into rebellious resentment for no reason. thatâs selfishness on a different level
wow, I watched ep 1 yday & binged the rest today. Iâm hooked. her family are freaking annoying but MSâs determination to help herâs really nice. itâs sad seeing kids who can be more mature than adults
Iâm 7 eps in. Somehow Iâm hooked even tho I find some of it so annoying! Like the parents, theyre so unsupportive & insecure??? the way theyâre prioritising their reputation over the literal death of their daughter + wellbeing of their other 2 kids. the 2 kids have said theyâre being bullied bc of the rumours & the mumâs just like âok endure it bc we worked hard to move hereâ HUH ?? đ¤¨đŠ wdymmm
