Peak 90s drama. From the cast to OST. Especially that scene in the library where they confessed to each other. And their kiss was real kiss! Not the fake lip touching kiss you see in modern dramas.
Felt disappointed and my time wasted because ML and FL didn't end up together. True love is true love, it transcends morals and societal expectations. People who cry about the morals definitely never experienced true love in their lives and I feel sad for them.
Watched this movie for emotional release and I cried like a little baby ๐ก
Cinematography and music is perfect. FL is very pretty and surprisingly ML is handsome after he styled his hair in the second half.
Something to note that no one else mentioned; FL is incredibly selfish for omitting about the fatality of her condition to ML until the end of her years and that late into their relationship. Technically the relationship was formed on a lie and it's incredibly unfair to ML.
can you elaborate on this? i genuinely wann hear why you think that. also stupid zombie is a bit funny considering…
Zombies being hive-minded and "remotely-controlled" takes away the tension of a zombie movie. It made the encounters with the zombies much less perilous as their priority is not attacking humans due to their base instincts. When I said stupid zombies, I don't mean their intelligence, but the way the zombies are written in the show.
This movie had a setting with great potential; characters being stuck in a building, similar to REC and Dawn of the Dead. It would have worked perfectly if they went the "traditional" route of zombie movies. They already had all the resources; budget and multiple A-listers. It would have been a hit without the unnecessary "sci-fi" element.
If you look at past comments you would see many people lamenting about how mediocre the movie is due to the pacing and lack of tension. I contribute majority of the flaws to the premise of the zombies.
It's so RARE to see an Asian actor looking devastatingly handsome with over-shoulder length long hair, and he cut it short after the show ๐ Should have kept it long, he would have stood out distinctively among the plethora of Chinese actors.
For anyone planning to watch this, just treat episode 10 as the final episode and tell yourself it's a 10/10 drama. No point going any further and make yourself feel empty afterwards.
Just done with this show. I'd say it's very well made with two charismatic leads, though it got a little draggy in the middle. Would have been perfect with 8 - 9 episodes. FL sold her role perfectly as the gentle caring teacher and ML as the stubborn rebellious young boy.
The only show I can compare with is Majo no Jลken, which is superior in every way; leads, plot, ost etc. Majo is 9.5/10. This show is easily 8 - 8.5/10.
Watching episode 1 now and thinking this show is so logically flawed.
You can simply show a photo of a random "deceased" person (but still alive actually) and ask the contestants to guess the cause of death. I'm sure they will make up a cause and all of them will be exposed instantly and the show will be over.
Watching ep1 and wondering why am I getting an undescribable annoyance seeing the FL. Then I realize she's that annoying gal in all of us are dead ๐
Just finished this. This show felt more grounded than One Litre of Tears. While the latter was produced with the intention of making you cry, this show made you see clearly what's going through on the day to day changes of someone suffering from ALS.
Personally, the show didn't make me feel life is worth living or whatsoever. I think ML should have gone to Switzerland and leave with dignity while he can. I don't believe all lives are worth living. Watch the movie 'Me Before You' and you'll get what I mean.

Anyway there's a very easy way to defeat the villain. Just use a vacuum cleaner!

IRL the actor did leave with dignity. RIP.
