Now after reading this...I realised you're missing a couple of points..first of all they weren't "friends" to begin with. They definitely had feelings for eo but maybe they were too afraid of the society to explore it further ( well the show didn't focus on this so let's not talk about this).Do you remember what Johan told him...he said he found someone that he wants to take care of and live his rest of the life with... That's literally a breakup. Ryu and Johan built this safe space together for eo...yet it might have felt like a betrayal to Ryu yet he couldn't stop him cause he doesn't own him..they never labelled their relationship. Well Saiiko and Ryu do have a deep friendship and the kid is one of the character he's attached to but Johan is still the only person he's been attached to mentally. Sometimes you can't just let go of those memories. It's connected by soul. And about years laters "fallen out of love" thing, who are we to judge...all we can do is just assume...love is so complicated helppppp

It's not usual type of BL or a Bromance drama. Their relationship had no labels. and about the ending..It's sad but It was the best ending they could possibly give.

Well Ryu was from Japan and Johan was Korean...Japanese people are labeled as less emotive. Yet he said "Saranghae" which is unarguably the most intimate word for "I love you" in Korean.

It's big 2026 and This is a Masterpiece. I mean I won't watch it again cuz it's a heavy watch but totally a masterpiece. Just two Men falling in love without giving any label to their relationship like they are in their own zone. I don't really care if it's a BL, Bromance or whatever. What I care about is this make me bawl my eyes after a very long time. It felt a different kind of relief. It wasn't about messed up sexual relationship or smth. THIS WAS PURE, AS PURE AS LOVE ITSELF.
