What made it especially enjoyable was the balance between sweetness and emotional depth. It wasn’t overly dramatic, but it still had enough heartfelt moments to keep things interesting. The chemistry between the leads really carried the show and made the romance feel natural and warm.

I loved the playful dynamic between the leads and how naturally the romance developed. It was sweet without being cheesy, and the workplace setting added a nice, realistic touch. Nothing too heavy, just a feel-good story with charming moments and a steady romantic flow.

What I appreciated most was the tone of the drama. It doesn’t rush, and it doesn’t rely on excessive angst. Instead, it focuses on growth, loyalty, and quiet strength. The love story is subtle but sincere — not overwhelming, but meaningful in a way that feels realistic.
While it didn’t reach the emotional intensity of my top favorites, it was still a very satisfying watch. It’s the kind of drama you enjoy for its calm strength, steady pacing, and dignified romance.

The romance builds slowly, and while I appreciated the emotional complexity and growth, the pacing occasionally felt long and dragged in parts. Still, when the story focused on the relationship itself, it was deeply engaging. The emotional tension, the misunderstandings, and the gradual shift from distance to closeness were all handled well.
The female lead’s journey was especially compelling — watching her grow, learn, and stand up for herself added depth to the story. The male lead’s devotion and intensity made the romance feel meaningful, even when the plot slowed down.

This drama completely pulled me in and didn’t let go. The romance isn’t perfect or easy — and that’s exactly why it feels so real. Everything builds slowly, with so much tension and emotion underneath the surface. You can feel the longing, the frustration, the heartbreak in every interaction, and it makes the love story incredibly powerful. What I loved most is how layered the characters are. The male lead is closed off and emotionally guarded, he was a bit annoying at time- typical bad boy vibes. while the female lead is strong, loyal, and loves deeply even when it hurts. Their relationship goes through real struggles, misunderstandings, and pain — nothing feels rushed or unrealistic. When they finally find their way back to each other, it feels completely earned and incredibly satisfying.
This is the kind of drama that makes you feel everything at once — love, sadness, hope, frustration —

. The romance and kiss scenes feels raw and intense
This drama hit me emotionally in a way few others have. The romance and kiss scenes feels raw and intense, shaped by hardship, survival, and emotional strength. The leads have incredible chemistry — the kind that builds through shared danger and trust. Their love feels earned, not handed to them. Every moment between them carries weight, and the emotional tension never disappears.
What I loved most is how strong both characters are, yet how vulnerable they become with each other. Their love feels deep, protective, and unforgettable.

One of the biggest highlights for me was the male lead and the incredible range he brought to his different portrayals. Watching him shift between Tantai Jin, Cang Jiu, and Mingli was fascinating. Each character felt distinct, and his expressions alone conveyed so much emotion — pain, vulnerability, darkness, longing — often without needing many words. It’s the kind of performance that keeps you glued to the screen because you never quite know what emotional layer you’ll see next.
I also appreciated having a strong female lead who could stand her ground. She wasn’t passive, and her presence added weight to the story, especially as the emotional stakes grew higher.
However, while the drama began with tremendous momentum, it unfortunately dragged in the later episodes. The emotional intensity that initially made the story so gripping started to feel stretched, and certain arcs seemed longer than necessary. Personally, I felt that if the drama had wrapped up around 34 episodes, it would have been nearly perfect — tighter, more impactful, and emotionally sharper.

Really enjoyed this one it’s really under rated
The series thoughtfully challenges the audience to reflect on what truly constitutes justifiable defense and whether the law can ever be absolute or “almighty.” It suggests that final verdicts and legal conclusions are inevitably shaped by personal beliefs and biases—highlighting an inherent vulnerability in the legal system, which is, after all, a human construct. There is a scene where prosecutor explains to LI mufeng that after he was sent to jail , the crime rate and bullying in schools reduced significantly, and li mufeng responds “ what about me ?” I understand proportionality in cases like these , but what was he to do ? Walk away? What truly elevates this drama is its excellent plot—tightly constructed, engaging, and consistently thought-provoking without relying on unnecessary shock value. It is, in many ways, a seriously underrated drama that deserves far more recognition than it has received.
The writing is strong, complemented by solid direction and a cast of compelling, multi-dimensional characters. The series excels in portraying psychological depth, allowing viewers to connect with the characters beyond surface-level storytelling.
Bai Jingting delivers a particularly standout performance, bringing nuance and authenticity to his role. His portrayal adds significant emotional weight to the narrative and is one of the highlights of the series

What I loved most was how the romance was woven into the tension. The love story didn’t feel forced or rushed — it grew naturally alongside the suspense, making every emotional moment feel more intense. There was always this sense of danger and uncertainty in the background, which made the connection between the leads feel even stronger.
The chemistry between the leads worked really well, and I loved how their relationship developed through trust, shared struggles, and emotional vulnerability. It wasn’t just about romance; it was about surviving together, understanding each other, and choosing love despite everything happening around them.
