Great, long, passionate kissing scenes. But other than that I didnt see a great quality or an amazing acting or a very clever plot. If you watch for the NC youre at the true address and I dont judge you at all (I do it all the time). But there are truly amazing BL series out there and this is not one of them. Honestly Ive never been in a host club and please please kindly correct me if Im wrong but I feel like they overdid beautifying host clubs. They made them look like royal theatre or like Cirque Du Soleil, which they are obviously not. Also, Im very interested watching a well portrayed, romantic throuple story but I think the development of this one wasnt romantic or full of love at all.I really hope they show us a better version of this throuple. I must say I enjoyed watching the stage scenes. Costumes, choreographies, dancing were very beautiful. Other than that Id say meh. But Im very excited for the special epsiode anyways because a very good special episode can change the last impression greatly and leave a great memory.
I couldnt agree more. I watched 6 episodes that felt like 16 already. I mean its good but im not into watching…
Ah its been a while since I finished and I was so frustrated that I couldnt even spend my time to write a negative review . I just gave my rate, ticked 'completed' and left the page lol. The disappointment is real!

Just wanted to share a thing that in my country its very common for girls/boys to address elder male strangers…
Exactly, Even my rate is very high because I didnt want to be unfair. Quality, acting, chemistry were all good. And the thing about the plot is completely about my ethic standarts.
Ive been checking every bl related tournament on mdl and this one has the best bl list ever. Every series on the list was great so this was very difficult. When I saw KinnPorche, Kiseki and The Eclipse on the same list I though about quitting the game for a minute lol. But ofcourse KinnPorche wins every tournament possible :)
Just wanted to share a thing that in my country its very common for girls/boys to address elder male strangers…
Ah btw thats funny, we have a similar saying in my country which means "dont call brother/sister you might need him/her in the future" . hajsksbdk I think that is hilarious how different cultures have similar sayings even when they are super weird.
Just wanted to share a thing that in my country its very common for girls/boys to address elder male strangers…
Well actually it is the same in my country too. We call people as brother and sister, we dont call them with their names as in american culture.. But what I meant was theirs was not that kind of 'brother'. They actually grew up in the same house as a real family, shared life as real siblings, spend time in the same house as blood brothers and they lived all of these starting from very young age. So this is very different from a neighbour or a senior from school or the owner of the bakery from the neighbourhood. This is the real family relationship. As I said I could think different if Xiao Yuan was older when they met, or they were 'like brothers' but didnt actually live in the same house or if Wei Qian wasnt like a father figure for the young siblings. From where I see, LiLi and Xiao Yuan were no different. They were like real brother and sister just as LiLi and Wei Qian and just like that Xiao Yuan and Wei Qian were like real brothers.
This is absolutely my personal opinion and my ethical point of view. When I ignore their relationship I thought they were a very good couple and this was a very good series too.
Really good series, amazing acting, intense chemistry. I loved every charatcer, every relationship and atmosphere. Actors were amazing! I will keep my eyes on them from now onn. All those emotions were deeply and beautifully conveyed to the audience. I have a personal problem with this series that I want to explain and if you dont want any spoiler please dont read from now on!!!
The thing is, I personally dont like the main plot of this show. I believe blood related or not, when children grew up together as siblings, calling eachother brother and sister, adopted by the same parents, they become real siblings and love eachother as true brothers true family. These 3 kids were a real family. So I think it is ethically super wrong loving your brother. In this case Xiao Yuan was literally adopted by Wei Qian when he was a little child. They didnt have parents so Wei Qian took care of him as his own brother or even as his father. I couldve understand if Xiao Yuan was older when they become 'brothers' but he was really young. They lived together 24/7 for years and took care of eachother and Wei Qian worked as the bread winner of the family to feed his 2 young siblings. I think it is ethically as wrong as LiLi falling in love in Wei Qian.
So when I watch this couple hearts were popping out from my eyes. But when I remember their relations,it was kind of icky to me. I know everybody loves this religiously recently but sorry I had to be honest :)
I knew that there's sometimes smth tricky in the rating , From watching a lot of BL series, I have an insight…
Exactly! I feel like people just show respect by rating high lol. Yeah great actors and great production, I respect them. But they didnt make a great show!
PS. I actually liked moonlight chicken tho haha. I think it has a very different vibe in it.
Everybody was talking about this one recently. I think its good but not as good as people were whispering. If acting was better, feelings could've been more effective and the whole story could've been more intense. Lack of chemistry and good actors kind of made the whole series level down for me.
PS. The best actor was Song Han Gyeom who played Seo Do Yoon who also was the best character for me. I wish they showed us their future too. I think that couple had an interesting story line.
I think this is what comes to mind when you think about a classic japanese bl (there are great great exceptions ofc). Nothing extreme. There is not a big drama, nothing really happens, no unique plot, no big tears or comedy, no action, no particular bad guy, no romeo juliet kinda love... Everything is perfectly mediocre. Im not saying its bad, its just very ordinary. You watch it without getting too excited or curious about the next episode but you watch it with pleasure at the end of the day. I think it was okay but not 8.2 okay for sure.
Okay, welcome to a very unpopular opinion: Great cast/acting, great scenario, would have been an amazing movie. But noooo! Someone decided to make it into a series and also a 17 episode one! There is slow burning and then there is this; not burning at all. Story was just not going anywhere, I was so bored with that 'secret' thing. Come on! Keep going! Also Ive never seen this many unloveble people in the same series in my life before. I fed up watching those evil parents for a looooong time. The screen time of JamFilm are like 25 second per episode and then we have to watch so many complicated relationships with those annoying people. I understand that they wanted to make a good quality historical lakorn which is not a popular theme in bl industry and would be something fresh but this wasnt the way to do it. I only enjoyed the last 3 episodes and until then it was a very difficult journey for me. Still I think this wouldve been an amazing movie.

Im at ep 10. Im very sorry but I still dont enjoy it at all. We barely get to see the leads, their scenes or their romance. The whole series is full of those extremely annoying mothers. I honestly hate them both. Also the father... I really really hope we can see more JamFilm scenes in the future or I will doubt everybody who recommended this to me hahhahhaha
NGL I'm struggling to watch the series, not because of the acting , I think that they're portraying well their…
I couldnt agree more. I watched 6 episodes that felt like 16 already. I mean its good but im not into watching that much of mixed relationships and stories at the same time. Everybody said this is one of the best bls ever so im waiting for JamFilm story to take over the series. Episodes are sooo long and 17 episode in total sounds so much. So im just hoping it gets better from now on.
after several months i've finished this series, im getting more and more crazy about daou offroad each and every day. they were good in the series but they are amazing in real life. im totally crazy about them and they became my fav couple so fast so hard. thank you love in translation for making me meet them :)))
