Man... There's something about getting attached to characters that are already dead that is so heartbreaking. What a masterpiece of a show. Amazing main actor.
This drama is so amazing, that I don't have words for it. I lost my grandfather last week and when I was thinking that from Monday we will resume our normal life, memories that are right now in front of us will fade away slowly. Then we will remember him occasionally. At night when I opened Netflix to watch mindlessly, I saw this. I started watching and I felt so warm. I was crying most of the time What people leave behind tells a lot of what they achieve or went through in their life. What that yellow box contains may look insignificant to others but to the people involved it means the world. This series was so heartwarming but seeing Geu Ru moving on was something that I needed this weekend. To show how to move on while keeping someone with us all the time.
It also made me wonder, what will be kept in my yellow box.
Aside from the great story, directing, and acting, this series gives a distinct cinematic experience that magnetizes viewers. It seems I have watched a very long movie or a miniseries quite different from the others. Plus the emotional punches meticulously integrated, this is beautifully done!
I just finished episode 5. If you are wondering if you should watch this, the unequivocal answer is YES! It's going to tug at your heartstrings, in a VERY big way, but I can't even state in words how much I love this drama. 10+ stars!
It was absolutely beautiful! Even before starting to watch I knew I would love this drama. This kind of story is 200% my cup of tea! It is so heartwarming and beautiful! Got me in tears more than once. The actors perfectly delivered the emotions of the drama, it was really touching. I binge watched the 10 episodes and I definitely want more. I was totally absorbed in the characters, the main stories and the different stories of the deceased. I strongly recommend everyone to watch this drama!
If you a fan of Tang Jun Sang as Geu Ru, please watch Racket Boys. It will be released on 31 May on SBS and Netflix, he's the main lead and that drama written by one of Prison Playbook writer.
