Title Secret Crush on You Spoiler
[About Toh's hunting and gathering tendencies]

Let's start with the "stalker" side of things. This one doesn't bother me as much, to be honest. We never see Toh actually trailing Nuea, following them home/outside of school, not trying to insert himself into Nuea's life by "accident" or control what Nuea does (and with whom). He doesn't get possessive over Nuea to the level he would hurt someone. It's true that Toh was looking for chances to watch Nuea from afar (e.g. going to their cafeteria), but he never intentionally interacted with Nuea during that time. Is it cringey? Yes. Uncomfortable? Detto. But it's also fairly realistic and (for me), acceptable in the context the show puts it into. Toh's keeping his distance and letting Nuea live his life. The biggest problem I see with it is the amount of photos Toh makes and souvenirs he takes. Which leads us to our second point.

Toh's hoarding habits. The notion of collecting keepsakes to remember things by is something I do from time to time, and consider it safe in moderation. Toh does not operate in moderation. I can see why he would keep photos (especially since it's his hobby), but so much? Making a shrine out of them?! That's an unhealthy obsession. Collecting slips of paper and small things some might consider trash is fine in my opinion, but actual trash? Nope. That soda can crossed the line. The paint can is peculiar, to say the least, but it's one of the better ones. Food and drinks of any kind are a big no-no for me. It spills, smells, gets rotten, attracts ants... even if it's sealed. There's an enormous amount of it and it keeps growing.

Things the show did well in this regard is shoving it in such a big scope no one should think it's standard. Especially with the pig's head. It's also shown Toh has little to no rational control over it (e.g. wanting to go back to the waterfall to collect water, or wanting to count one date as multiple just to get more out of it). We also get a really good explanation for why Toh does it, which shows us it's fixable for him (I think that usually, reasons for hoarding aren't that clear irl). But the show also did a lot wrong with it.

Firstly, even if Toh's friends seem to discourage him from taking those things, they make fun of it, help him with it and even egg him on. They also haven't intervened in any meaningful way so far. Secondly, I believe the show's taking it too lightly. They compare it to Jao's much smaller, manageable collection as if they were essentially the same. They made Nuea act like it doesn't matter. He even called it trivial. I'm glad he's able to love Toh despite it, but the way the whole thing's portrayed doesn't sit well with me. Also, during the confession scene, they diverted attention away from Toh's problem towards Nuea's insecurities, mudding things even further. Last thing they did horribly (imo) is letting Nuea ask Toh: "Can we throw them away?" and the scene moving past it without any apparent hiccups. If you did that to a real person, I would expect a lot more irrational defense and some level of aggression or mental breakdown. Toh basically explained it away as if it's nothing.

What I wish they would have done back then? They should have admitted Toh has a problem. Either let Nuea distance from Toh in a way that would make Toh start addressing it accordingly, or let Nuea help Toh get through it. They should have consulted a physician. Because in the stage Toh is at, no amount of friendly communication or arbitrary rules would help.

In the end, SCOY is a show I don't like to analyze/judge because of its OTT and cringey theme which makes me give them a pass for things I would otherwise take more seriously. I don't think most people would take either of those issues seriously in such context. But it's still something I want to point out, especially since the show's trying to become more serious and it's being portrayed in less melodramatic vibe.

That wouldn't necessarily prove that Lian knows that Kuea is Kirin though, since Kuea doesn't know when Lian got…
That's true, I haven't thought of that. I think as @sal09 mentioned, Kuea isn't really in a state when he could put all that stuff together. He was also so drunk, he doesn't remember for certain how far Lian got that night imo and how much of what he remembers is actually true.

But as I've said before. I highly doubt the writers would bother making sense out of it.

I hope you are right. Way better ending than cliffhanger followed by second season announcement.
I'm getting strong "Battle of Thermopylae" vibes from this comment.

Does that means there are/might be/will be another BLs in the same universe?

I barely have time for TMoTB, but that doesn't stop me from adding more stuff to my lists πŸ˜†

I'm not watching previews for anything, and certainly not for Cutie Pie. Not knowing is always better in this case πŸ’š

He never told Lian about his major, being Kirin, making music, interest in sports cars and his motorbike. Sure…
One think I don't understand is why the story puts more weight on Kuea not telling Lian about his hobbies, than it does on Lian not telling Kuea he owns all of Keerati's assets.

And if we want to think about it, what about Lian's hobbies?! Were they disclosed to Kuea in their entirety? I don't think so. They were barely shown to the audience.

What I love about this series is that there are non unnecessary antagonist character to stir up the relationship.…
Everyone in this series is an antagonist imo. Maybe except Nuer, and even that's because they apparently forgot he's meant to be "Lian's rival", or whatever 😌

I also hated that their first kiss was public- and accidental, to boot.
Frankly, I only care for Nuer since their relationship hadn't progressed well and Syn is mostly played for laughs imo.

But as @FreshKicks said down below: "If I was going to give a devout Buddhist his first true kiss, I wouldn't do it in a night club where I'd had to coax him into entering, and in front of his friends as well as dozens of strangers."

The writers really don't care if it makes sense, as long as they can get a fanservice out of it.

Okay I get a question. Who wears his or her visual aids to the bathroom and has them on while he or she is bathing?…
Even though I can see without my glasses, I get headaches if I don't wear them for a few minutes. So for a quick shower, glasses off. In a bathtub if I need to have my eyes open? Glasses on. People that don't see without their glasses at all would probably take them off even more rarely πŸ’š

Hello? I would like to ask international fans their thoughts about the character Jinta? That character is not…
I think it's a good thing to have such character helping him. Otherwise the plot would either move way slower, or we would have too many eureka moments to push the plot forward.

That said, I don't like how chaotic the character is. It's probably intentional, but I would have liked it more if the writers just chose a single personality for them and sticked with it.

I agree with that to some degree. I could see how he wouldn't wonder aboout Lian seeing his Kirin performance that day, since there was a lot happening during both revelations. The school uniform was too brief a scene and Lian didn't comment on it, so I can see why Kuea wouldn't think about that, too.

But he did get suspicious when Lian prepared the music room for him. Also on the circuit, he wondered if Lian actually knows. They just never progressed with it further, making those scenes kinda useless in my opinion.

I thought Kuea knew that Hia already knew that he's Kirin because he told him that Hia is the one who kisses him…
That wouldn't necessarily prove that Lian knows that Kuea is Kirin though, since Kuea doesn't know when Lian got into the bar (Lian might have arrived after the Kirin reveal, so he wouldn't have known).

That said, this show has an awful habit of establishing something and then abandoning it (like Lian knowing Kuea likes music, fast cars, saw him in his real school uniform...). I would bet the "writer(s)" haven't even thought of the point you are making πŸ˜”

Can someone explain who the main couples are ? Of if it’s a bl? :) THANK YOUU
Almost certainly a BL, though the pairings aren't really established yet. The main one will most likely be Tin x Tol, but side couples (if there even are any) are still up in the air. Some people would like to see Sing x Gap, but I would rather have Sing paired up with Rit. And hopefully Art can finally get someone πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™
