can somebody tell me if the subs are that bad? and if there is any other subbing avaiable, some fansubs? i was…
The general subs are okay. Not the greatest, but far from the worst. You will manage.
The problem is, they don't translate any text messages / comments that appear on screen! And there's lots of it! You could try google image translator, or just go without, and you would still get the gist of what's going on most of the time. But it's still a shame... π€
Certainly better than last weeks' episode. This was at least funny! π
But still... no communication when he was away? And they don't even properly talk once he returns?! I could never be in such a private "relationship" π
So... episode 1. Pretty good! It's messy, it's dramatic, it's confusing... exactly as I expected it to be! It's uncomfortable to watch sometimes. It leaves you with more questions than answers, and possibly with bad taste in your mouth.
One thing I want to make clear - this is still very much a Y show. It's not a documentary. It's not here to "expose the BL industry" in clear and precise, cold way. It shows a lot, and you will wonder what's real and what's just drama, but you shouldn't go into this wanting to be educated on what's happening behind the curtain. You'll feel disappointed if that's what you're after. I won't go much into moral implications of the show existing, since that's something you'll have to figure out for yourself. Personally, I don't feel like the show's trying to normalize nor romanticize anything (up to this point). It's also not pointing fingers or shaming any behaviour openly.
I have only one issue so far:
The subtitles. Not translating the messages and other stuff hurts. Hope that changes.
It's a shame those messages aren't translated, since they are partially a focus of the scene.
"Don't try for the award." Ooh, chilling π¨
You can easily tell who the most shipped couple is just by their screaming π€£π€£π€£
Wait. "Seng" won? Was there a time skip, or multiple awards? I thought "Talay" has won! [I guess the fans were just confused, or the subs badly worded]
I'm surprised "Talay's" partner isn't there with him. Here he is!
Pomelo π
Why are they making such a big deal out of ice, water, and hair conditioning?
Also, isn't the blond guy from story 2? I guess they will connect the parts at least somewhat naturally, then. π
Yeah, not working according to schedule is a bigger transgression imo.
The older manager is kinda a major pain in the ass. [But now I wonder how much of it is Pan being high maintennance / hard to work with]
Gosh, the scene with "sponsor" was pretty strong! I could feel the uncomfortable from here π£
Pan must have gone through some serious stuff for him to be this touchy.
I'm hate-watching this, so I might as well hate-post about it.So... who was the guy with the big muscles packing…
"Check out 8:40 - why was the underside of the bathtub blurred out? Was there a giant penis hanging from it or something?"
It's also blurred out in the uncut version, so unfortunately, it isn't any 'bdsm' easter egg. My bet is that there was either a problem with set they haven't noticed while filming, or the director thought it would look artsy (like that essential close-up of soapy hand).
Can someone point to me what YT version has censored? I am interested in watching the extended parts - but not…
I would say it's generally not worth it. The "extended" version tends to be less than 5 minutes longer (usually within 2 minutes), and they don't exactly add a scene to it or anything. It would be like your bonus frame here, two more frames there... to make it flow better. I usually just compare runtimes and unless there is a significant difference, I don't bother.
That said, if they add something, it tends to be a longer version of an NC scene, so I tend to check those (and also Kom-Baiboon stuff to be super sure, though they haven't reedited them so far). This past episode didn't have anything altered as far as I can tell [the long version is 48:10, the yt version is 48: 12. Youtube version also has those previews on the end of parts 1, 2 and 3, which are like 14 seconds each. So there's a ~40 seconds difference this time]
In the previous episode Kamol said that the upper room in the bar is a one way window but somehow magically Kamol…
The power of love πππ
[Also, I don't think it was meant to be a one way window. Subtitles just were a little confusing on that part. Why else would the random girl send Kim a drink in prev ep if she couldn't see him there? π€]
Seriously. There's no way Kim's ex's boyfriend isn't after Kim! He's too chill about him. And not like a guy who's actually pissed but hiding it. Like a guy that's plotting something πΆ
I'm on Kim's side in this argument. Hiding with Day won't help.
He's sulking! What a baby. Me wanna squash his cheeks βΊοΈ
That close-up on his soapy hand... Masterpiece π₯Ί
No wonder he can't fall asleep! It's 31 degrees celsius there and he's lying down in his PJs?! Under a cover?! I can't believe I'm saying this, but UN should take a page out of OMSN's book. Lose that clothes π
Go, Kim! Show him π
"Let's talk about us." Right, "talking". That's not how talking works, Day π I'll ignore those "kisses" π
I want to see Nemo, too πππ Unfortunately, Even Sun has already ended π’
I'm having a feeling that by 'view', Day's bf means his own view of Kim π
Sunscreen product placement incoming!!
Itt, you're not subtle. You're not subtle at all π
π΅ Don't Call Me Up! π΅
"Because Day is Day." Just say you like him because of his connection to Kim π
This conversation between Baiboon and Kom is no longer about Kamol and Kim, is it? π
Awww, so this is the hug from the BTS video? It's sweet, but I hoped for more π
Also, "Thank you for teaching me how to think." Just how immature Baiboon is/was before he joined the mafia?
Could Kom-Baiboon be the healthiest portrayal of age gap BL relationship ever done? It's certainly on the right track so far!
I wanted to see the Itt-Kim movie date π
Kim is like: "Where is Kamol? Is he just running late, or was I too subtle asking him to come visit? Does he not want to see me? π₯Ί Are we over already? π"
Why is there no collagen-filled product box next to Kim's colorful drink? Is that even legal?! π¦
soooo BL Tiktok hasn't been kind. Guys, tell me if this is a bad as theyre saying
If you're looking for a romantic stuff, it's bad (except one big caveat from last episode). If you're looking for a somewhat meaningful plot, it's also bad (nothing really happens).
But it's chill, with nice atmosphere, nice looking actors, sometimes it's even funny! If you just want to vibe and not think much, it's fine π
with one episode left, are there even any BL elements in this show to call it one ?
It's giving Love Class level of BL. I expect at least a kiss in the last episode (between who and who is yet to be seen), but not much else. That said, it was a nice ride! π
Go, girl, give us nothing!! π₯

This is the second episode in a row that ended on useless cliffhanger. I'm sure nothing will come off it next week. Why not give us some juicy Itt-Kim drama instead? π©
As long as you don't use your brain and just vibe with the scenery, it's plenty enjoyable π₯°
