Story of love and betrayal filled with twists
The drama starts very light and entertaining to watch, full of humorous scenes. However, it soon turns into a drama filled with betrayals and twists that will keep the viewer entertained throughout the episodes. The cast does a fantastic job portraying their characters.Jung Joon Ho as the king makes you unsure whether to love him or hate him due to the few sympathetic moments he has on screen. Kang Tae Oh as Yul Mu does a great job portraying a man fueled by hatred and greed who is still partly under control by a woman he is in love with. Kim So Hyun as Dong Joo and Jang Dong Yoon as Nokdu both do phenomenal jobs portraying the FL and ML. Their chemistry is undoubtedly one of a kind and they will have the viewer rooting for them from start to finish.
The story itself is filled with multiple moments that will have you laugh, smile and cry. Usually, dramas start strong and slowly decline but it's not the case with this one. The plot is not that slow-paced nor fast-paced, somewhere in between. There were moments where the drama was kind of dragging, some scenes felt too prolonged (mostly characters staring at each other; moments of silence) but overall, the drama was really good. The gender-bending aspect of both FL and ML was watchable. Especially Jang Dong Yoon as both man (Nokdu) and woman (Lady Kim) looked and sounded believable as a woman.
It's a must-watch among Joseon/historical k-dramas.

When great cast meets bad writing
The beginning of the drama had really great potential. Ji Chang Wook's character Jeha/K2 and the Song Yoon Ah's Yoo Jin started the drama with immense chemistry that was intriguing to watch. However, the plot slowly started deteriorating in each episode. Jeha's relationship with Anna felt empty, there was little-to-no chemistry between the two. Anna's behavior in public versus in private felt too different, almost like watching two different people, to the point it wasn't even pleasing to the eye. Altogether Anna's character had just a small development which, considering she was the female lead, was very pitiful because we could see both Jeha and especially Yoo Jin develop enormously during the drama.Overall, it was a watchable drama that highlighted especially Yoon Ah's acting capabilities as well as Chang Wook's. Still on the verge about whether Yoona's character Anna was that badly written or if her portraying the FL was bad.

Waste of Time
Just finished the show. Originally, I was looking forward to watching this as the cast of this one is really promising. The fact that it's a Disney+ original added another alluring feel to it.However, it was a disappointment.
The acting was okay, but the storyline felt lackluster and incomplete; it had potential but something was definitely missing. The visuals were great though, some of the scenes were mesmerizing. But the lack of depth and character development was glaring. I wish the writers had done a better job with the plot.
They could have added more twists and turns and made it more interesting. It felt like the story was barely touched upon in the time given and could have been a lot more enjoyable if the writers had gone a little bit deeper into the characters and the story. All in all, it was okay, but nothing extraordinary.

Bloodier than part 1 but average
This film will suck you into the story and won't let you go. The opening scene was magnificent. The film felt more violent, bloodier and gore-y than part 1 but it was still not too over the top. The fight scenes were nice to watch and very well choreographed.However, the whole plot ofo the film felt simple. For two hours, you were basically watching two groups of supernatural humans chase one god-like girl that took all of them down within 15 minutes. I wish they added more depth into the story, focused more on the girl's origin and maybe more on how she became the strongest and most powerful of them all. What happened in the lab? Why was she created? More background to her story.
Overall, it was a nice watch and I do recommend to watch it.
