That's one of my concerns too. As much as I want them to cast a female and a male actor to play Shi Qingxuan, it's very likely that censorship won't allow it. I'm also curious to see who will be casted for Blackwater. He'll need to have great chemistry with SQX's actor / actress because their interactions in the novel were really fun to read.

I know everyone is excited to find out what actors are going to play Xie Lian and Hua Cheng, but I'm personally more excited to find out who is going to play Shi Qingxuan (since he is my favorite character).

Anyone got any updates on why Beyond Evil is not available on Netflix?

I hope they actually release this on Netflix because apparently now it is not there anymore even though it was a few days ago. Hopefully it's just a glitch...

I'm enjoying this drama so much!!! I usually get bored when I watch thriller, investigation, or crime dramas, but this one has been super interesting so far. I have no complaints and I can't wait to see how all the mysteries are solved.

I might do that but knowing that THAT happens at the end will haunt me every time I watch an episode. I won't be able to fully enjoy the rest of the drama and that's a shame...

Now I don't know if I want to continue watching after reading all the comments about the ending... *sigh*

Honestly, this drama is disappointing me too. I was expecting it to be similar to Hikaru no Go (which I loved since episode 1), but now I'm halfway through this drama (Ep. 22) and I still don't really care about the characters or the story. They have even added unnecessary and boring romance, and the story is becoming repetitive. Maybe you should try watching a few more episodes and see if you like it but I don't really recommend continuing it.
