At the end of the day those are only theories that COULD explain it but so far nothing like that has been shown or proven to be the reason, which is why I'm confused. I'm fine with supernatural and fantasy plots incorporated to reality and I actually like them a lot, it's just that in this particular case I don't think they're doing a good job explaining it and it ends up feeling like a huge plot hole to me

He never saw Bom's mum, in the flashbacks it's all always shown from her perspective (which makes sense since he got her corneas) so he never saw her say the word Bom-bom but he heard it

In episode 4, towards the end when he starts having flashbacks, he clearly hears Bom's mum say "Bom-bom, no doodling on the walls" and call her "Bom-bom" while playing hide and seek too, which is what I assume they're using to explain why he calls her Bom-bom too
I believe both him seeing it and hearing what was shown is the supernatural aspect/magical realism
Yeah I get that part, it's just strange that if he got the eyes from Bom's mum he should be able to only see what she saw, hearing it wouldn't make any sense even in the magical realism context since he didn't get her ears. That's what I meant, maybe I'm looking too deep into it 😅
I could understand Sagye can see or remember certain things in his dreams because he got Bom's mum's corneas in the transplant, but how are they going to explain that he also can HEAR the music?? I know it's supposed to be fantasy but it makes no sense at all
While there are some hints that point to a possible season 2 and many people hope it gets confirmed, we'll probably have to wait for years before we get it. For starters Hwang Minhyun will be serving in the military until December, then they'll need to start negotiations and pre-production, find a time where all the cast are available again and then filming and editing/post-production. I don't think we'll have it before 2027, but I hope I'm wrong
This was one of the first kdramas I ever watched and it still holds a special place in my heart... After rewatching it this holidays I fell in love with it again, and I enjoyed it as much as I did the first time
