I've just started s2 and changing of ML and FL hurts me a bit. I cannot get into liking new characters, maybe it will get better.
As so many mentioned already I would like to see leads from s1 to appear at least as a guests but having to many top tier actors is expensive so I wouldn't hold my breath (and Yoo Yeon Seok is probably doing next season of Hospital Playlist so it might also be a schedule conflict).
Nevertheless, even not finishing s2 yet, I'm happy the story will continue with same leads and not like a new opening for a 3rd time, which could be boring :)
I've just finished the last episode. Some thoughts below, behind spoiler tag.
The last episode doesn't really give any hints why SoMin will not be in Part 2. It must be something we will learn in the first episode of the Part 2.
It is surprisingly strong drama with episodes 10-12 and 19 being the only ones I really didn't like (19 just dragged too much for what they've tried to show and pacing was really off) and skipped bigger parts of them. Uk's father sub-plot was also very underwhelming and disappointing at the end.
I was worried when I've read that Crown Prince might be a main villain going forward, but after finishing Part 1 it all makes sense. I would also try to get rid of Uk if I were him, to much risk of loosing his position :)
Hopes for Part 2: - more action, magic, blood and gore - less family/couples dramas and romance
I would be fine if both leads (or one of them) would sacrifice themselves to finally destroy the stone.
TBH the romance for me is the weakest in this drama...I think individually and as a group they are doing a great…
I'm sucker for romance too, but it doesn't have to be exposed that much. I liked how it has been done in Military Prosecutor Doberman. If they would pull off something like that here it would be perfectly fine for me. And characters having their own personal agendas is also a good point. Whatever they do, I'll rate it at the end. I've learnt that people overreact too much to romances and relationships developments. That is the reason I'm afraid to start 25-21, people seems to be very emotional (in a bad way) about the ending :)
I wonder how many of those who write that without SoMin they won't watch it, will actually watch it. But I expect low rating bombing no matter what the quality of the show is. I'll be waiting with popcorn to see that :)
FL real age and her age in the drama does not make any sense ..... she looked too old for the role from my point…
This bothered me so much from the start. There are so many talented ~20 years old actresses and they had to choose one ~30 yo that clearly looks her age. Don't get me wrong, she is a beautiful woman, but she just looks her age. Casting director completely failed his or hers job.
Like many others already mentioned, this is an unfinished drama. There is no bad, good or open ending. It clearly had been planned with second season in mind. Too bad that due to COVID that might never happened.
Said that, I really enjoyed it. Solid action drama with a lot o plot twists and great characters. I've rated it 8 only because story is unfinished, if we get season 2 with similar quality, it is an easy 9 (which i high for me).
Strongly recommend, even with current ending. Just keep in mind that you might never see the end of the story.

The remaining question is why Mudeok is not a part of part 2? My guess is that either she dies during soul swap or sacrifice herself at the end of part 1.
Yes, but wait for the whole season. I've just caught up with it this weekend and regret that decision. I'll have to wait 5 weeks for it to conclude (10 more episodes to go). It slowed downed at the moment before next story arc but score here is well deserved. One of TOP 3 dramas this year for me.
It started really strong, we will see if it has 16 episodes potential or gets boring fast. Very fast paced. 1st episode, which is basically an introduction to the lore/story, could easily be like 2-3 episodes, so I hope they will keep such pace up.
I haven't seen CLOY (yet) but I agree with everything else. I really liked the overall character development (for all mains) but have to things that bothered me a lot: - lack of "cinematic filter" bothered me for a couple of episodes, but I've got used to it - motivation on why FL is fascinated/fall in love with ML is not shown in the best way - ML mother, especially at the end (gate scene), it was so not believable for me (or maybe it was intentional so not everything is so sweet at the end)
Nevertheless solid drama that is still worth watching after 12 years.
This is just getting more ridiculous. Lets make a great plan, check and verify all the allies only to wear face…
I know and I wish my brain works that way, but once I've invested that much time already, I will have to finish it. But I might fast forward parts of it.
I've started it just after He is Psychometric and expected something this series apparently is not. I miss character development so much. Everyone is so 1-dimensional so far. Except the guy who is "working for" villain , the best character for me.
