I mean police genre itself is new, there are barely any of these. can you recommend better than this one?
It's already a bit older but I really liked Medical Examiner Dr. Qin (with Li Xian and Zhang Ruoyun). I've only watched the first season, though, so I can't say anything about the quality of the second one.
I'll be honest, I'm glad the drama got more interesting again. Even though I love both main leads and their performances, I found the last few episodes quite dragging. But episodes 12 and 13 were really good and now I'm looking forward to tomorrow's episodes. β€
Can someone tell me, Why they haven't make a show when they went to Zhang Family Ancient Tower as it's only in…
Because the bit that takes place between Ultimate Note and Tibetan Sea Flower hasn't been adapted yet. It's the big finale of the book series, in which Zhang Qiling goes behind the bronze gate at the end. It's the only book that fans are still hoping will be adapted as a drama some day.
Does anyone know how many episodes of this were filmed? They've wasted so many episodes on the current story arc already, that I seriously doubt that the plot of this drama will be wrapped up in the remaining 8 episodes. π€ I have a feeling that more than 40 episodes have been filmed and that the drama has been split into two parts (with the second half probably airing next year as season 3), which is why there's already a season 3 listed under related content. That's just my guess, though.
This was a surprisingly good drama! It's led by an unconventional hero who always keeps things interesting, but who has his vulnerable moments as well and knows what failure is. I've never heard of Jiro Wang before but he did an incredible job bringing Cao Yanbing to life. I wanted to hug him as much as I wanted to punch him for being an idiot sometimes.
I also liked Xia Ling (she did the best with the limited knowledge and abilities she had) and Beiluo (although HE certainly doesn't win any Dad of the Year awards any time soon). And extra kudos to the child actor who played Cao Xuanliang back then, his performance was by far one of the best and most memorable ones in this drama. β€
For a fantasy drama this old, this actually looked quite decent, too.
The only thing that REALLY annoyed me was the laughter of the antagonist. Like yeah, we get it dude, you're evil, now please stop laughing.
I don't why I find it so funny...Wu Xie contemplating for so long what will Xiaoge 's first line be after he comes…
I actually liked that line. Wu Xie has suffered and sacrificed so much during these 10 years without him, and those words are just Zhang Qiling recognizing his hardships and losses. Not just the loss of time, but also the loss of his innocence. π
Guys, I've never watched this series before. Could someone help me with which drama I should start with and the…
If you want to know which of the three dramas you should watch first, then it would be: Ultimate Note -> Tibetan Sea Flower ep. 1-31 -> Tomb of the Sea -> Tibetan Sea Flower ep. 32 Just trust me on this. π
If you're asking for a chronological watch order for the entire franchise, then it would be: 1. The Mystic Nine 2. The Lost Tomb 3. The Lost Tomb 2 (with Hou Minghao as Wu Xie) 4. The Lost Tomb 2: Heavenly Palace On The Clouds (with Bai Shu as Wu Xie) 5. Ultimate Note 6. Tibetan Sea Flower ep. 1-31 7. Tomb of the Sea 8. Tibetan Sea Flower ep. 32 9. Reunion: The Sound of the Providence (season 1&2)
Oh, you're going to have so much fun with Sleuth, it's a great drama. π Eternal Brotherhood is also great, but it's not complete yet. There should be a second season airing next year. It's very dark and political, but I love the trio at its core. β€
MLC's trio was amazing, as well as, of course, DMBJ's Iron Triangle. I also loved the main character trio in both Sleuth of the Ming Dynasty and Eternal Brotherhood. β€
I love how Beiluo is just everyone's dad at this point and how he has quietly accepted to be the protector of the bunch of children he has accidentally acquired.
I randomly dicovered Ai Mi in episode 11. She must have been like what? 8 years old in this? And now she's twice as old and getting her first main role. Amazing. β€
This page and the one for the iQIYI Light On series complement each other perfectly:

I can't stand the actor, I have to admit. I find him super creepy.
