You... would not be wrong. ;) Though season 2 is more like a second half. I think both seasons were filmed together and then split into two halves later. I think Zhu Yilong is a good actor, his portrayal of Wu Xie is just not my favorite one.
Wu Xie managed to get that smile back. πβ€ And yeah, he does. It's a big part of his story here and the main reason why he's both more reckless AND ruthless than usual. π
Definitely. Like, Reunion starts with one particular story arc and then it changes abruptly to an entirely different one within the first season alone. That was hard to get used to. π
Zhang Luyi just broke my heart in episode 17. π His acting was so, so good, with Wu Xie feeling desperate and guilty about the massacre, right after that tiny moment of quiet and hope when he had his heart-to-heart with Zhang Haike. π’
Also: I did NOT expect Wu Xie to inflict the injury on his forearm here, which would become the first of the 17 (if I remember correctly?) scars he has during the events of Tomb of the Sea and which would remind him forever of his failures. The realization that THIS was the beginning of him self-harming out of guilt made me almost tear up. π
anyone know where can i watch the lost tomb 2 ? i have been searching for a while and still don't know
You won't only find The Lost Tomb 2 for free on Youtube, but also its direct sequel, The Lost Tomb 2.5 (Heavenly Palace on the Clouds) with Bai Shu as Wu Xie. :)
For me Edward is the most book accurate Wu Xie. Wu Xie used to be naive when he was young but the while Qiling…
His introduction alone in the drama was amazing, having his story told through the eyes of an outsider made him even more human in my opinion. And then watching him slowly connect to that outsider, Li Cu, and form an emotional bond that none of them ever thought was possible at the beginning... Ahh, it was such a good show, I need to watch it again sometime. β€

His Wu Xie is entirely different, though.
I would still watch every single one of them, I just love the characters too much. π

I'm a bit undecided about him as Wu Xie, though.
