the plot is so ridiculous bro i just had to laugh. i've waited for so long to watch this only to be faced with disappointment. the title was "legend of the female general" and yet the story is much reduced to romance. the amount of overly romantic editing and background music says a lot.

now at ep 4 and i'm kinda pissed at the ml. am i getting this right? he thought hongling was the mystery girl? that's a load of bull crap! he doesn't know her features yes and then first saw hongling in an opposite looking styling (her in red xiaomei in blue) and during the whole time they've spent together not once had he ever seen her hair in twin braids yet thought it was her?
i'm also pissed that he's one shitty friend. actually a shitty person in general. he knows his friend is into hongling, even promised to be his wingman and yet went after her right under his nose without any decency of outright telling him he likes her too? even worse, after leading hongling on acting all mr. nice pants around her, just one smidge sign of conflict with his so-called friend had him tucking his tail. hongling's rage was valid!
