I've been thinking about your question for a couple of days hahahaha Idk what to recommend tbh I'm always hesitant to recommend something blindly because I can't know your preference for sure... Most of the ones that came to mind you've watched already. Maybe try Our Beloved Summer. It's not that similar to alchemy of souls but I loved it personally :D

This drama feels nostalgic to me. It's similar to some of dramas I used to watch in like 2016-2017, frustrating and dramatic but they still got me going till the end and I ended up enjoying them!

I read your review just because I'm at work, taking a break and I am bored. Based on what you wrote, I believe this drama would be hilariously bad, to the point where if I watched it I'd rant about it to my friends for a month. Good think I never planned on watching it anyways! lol
