What she did to Meng was satisfying but Meng comes from an influential family and this action could have backfired…
Agree, But looks like she went for it all. At this point she is assuming all the responsibility and blame for all the wrongdoings for her family, I guess, she is not expecting to come clean from this one at least as one of the outcomes. And the Lord was clear to not accept by any means her and her family leaving the town. So by cutting Meng young lady's face HQ makes sure, that girl would bear with a scar for the rest of her life, which ,in that time this drama is happening, will make for Meng lady almost impossible to get married properly.
While HQ didn't break "really" the agreement she made with the ZXW on this matter, she turned it into rather the act around "women fighting over a man" thing.
Do you guys even realize The guard has more scenes than the lord (ML)?ðŸ¤ðŸ¤
sure, he is always in cool fighting scenes. I guess that might be one of the reasons for this actor to want this role :-) Of course, nothing against the both main leads, he just has a different storyline
u mean the Second Male Lead? ZYL?he cant accept mah...Maybe he did love her and did not want to let her go.Maybe…
yes, this is what I am struggling with in the case of his character / or his acting  … and as viewers in the drama we are supposed to get transmitted some more hints into his internal world, than how it usually might happen in normal life

Thanks, will rewatch it. But I struggle in general to read him. It seems always the behavior related to societal forms back than, but even his positive emotions are really hard to buy somehow, even when expressed toward 2FL

Now that you mention that: I am currently rewatching some scenes and I really struggle to understand, what is going on with ZYL. I understand there are some scenes where the complex combination of thoughts and feelings he is struggling with …Â
I just can not read it … its kinda not understandable … Not sure, if this was meant to be so by the director, or if the actor is struggling to express this complexities … or just me struggling to understand. But I was more reassured through the comments here about his thoughts and feelings around the FL rather than able to see it in his face …
ZhouJiu is right in moving forward with her life🌿YunShen's family is a big trouble, not for a Doctor to get…
agree, after ep. 33 it feels like she is the only one to be able to cut off everything and have a clean start, ideally going somewhere far far away … All the other entanglements seems to be with no way out till everything is broken or destroyed …
Question for those who read the novel (after watching ep. 33) and might treat me to some spoilers: What happens with the life of FXZ and the mother? Do they achieve any kind of enlightenment in their lives or do they keep going from bad to worse till the very end? Thanks!
I know FYS sincerely cared for his brother since when they were little. However, his behavior toward his brother…
Seems like he is rather blaming FYS, thinking he killed his mother. You remember, they were in the same accident. Even if FYS didn't do it but apparently (doen't know, it wasn't shown in the drama to which extent) he thinks his brother was the reason for his mother's death
I do hear what you are saying … in a way, be it only the acting skills or the balance in general to let this character evolve a bit better in the series. but I also am struggling to buy this character fully in the all over balance of things
