i really do enjoy the conflict they set up with the grandma. i feel ai-oon's frustration with her and she obviously is quite bad at this "being a guardian to two orphaned grandchildren" thing, but that's what makes her so interesting and fleshed out as a character to me. we've had our fair share of parents/grandparents in gls who are either straight up evil or are perfectly sweet and understanding. i think this is the first parental figure who is like, quite complex in that she evokes a variety of responses (at least, in me) - one second i cannot stand her and the other i feel so much sympathy for her. i'm looking forward to how this storyline progresses, i do like portrayals of complicated familial relationships

1.) the scene between aioon and grandma in 1/4 and the scene of may waking up in the hospital in 3/4 were SO good. namtan and film the actresses that you are

now you're just putting words in my mouth. never did i say that all queer people are perfect angels who do no wrong. what i AM saying is that gay sex isn't shameful and openly gay creators wanting to include it in their work is a normal thing to do. it's a part of our lives.

i asked you not to infantilize the actors and here you are doing exactly that. they are grown men in their twenties (i'm also older than them by the way) who are capable of deciding which series to act in. do you think that this evil perverted older gay director sneakily made them read a script with no sex scenes in it and then forced them to act it on camera? this isn't a porn studio. the actors know what they are getting into and can always choose more tame and safe projects if they are uncomfortable with filming something like this.

genuinely, gmmtv has its fair share of problems, but jojo making more mature themed series for a fellow queer audience isn't one of them, please stop clutching your pearls

haven't read the novel but i think they changed a LOT lot. i know a total of one big spoiler from the novel (which does make may seem like a red flag), but i can already tell they scrapped it completely

i've never seen dunk in anything (not counting bad buddy where he appeared for like five seconds total) but i've heard plenty about him being a so-so actor and i can see what people meant. out of the main four his line delivery is the least natural and smooth. maybe i'll get used to it as the show progresses tho
