I get why are you all annoyed by what Changyu did in ep 25 😅 but you honestly think Xie Zheng would just stand up there if he thought her plan wouldn't work? to me, it looked like he believed the plan would work even if it was reckless and sudden.
I do agree that the screenwriter should've stick to what happened in the novel... but I understand why they had to change it. It would be impossible to film that hunting scene.
One thing that bothers me is that they made Xie Zheng look like a nice, soft guy at the beginning of the drama. Yes, they did show us a few scenes where he's cold, but for those who didn't read the novel, it feels like it's not even him. He almost acts like a Xie Wei in Story of Kunning Palace and many people dislike his character there.He's described as grumpy, and bad-tempered. And he always has a sharp tongue.He didn't act any different with Changyu. He's also very selfish and toxic.I already saw couple of comments about how he acted in ep 25, that you found him scary, but I wasn't surprised at all because that's his real personality...I understand why they had to softened his character but it can be a bit 🤏🏻 misleading. That's just my opinion!

These people only complain because she's a woman. What she did was dangerous and reckless but it worked, and if Xie Zheng thought that was a bad move he'd have done something.

I had zero problem with him in the novel. I like complex characters such as Xie Zheng 🤷🏻♀️ I like when they have flaws and are not perfect.
