They are not thinking with their brain at all that's why. If she tells him the truth, there would be only 3 episodes, and not 14. Yes, I did see Story of kunning palace, but I've also seen Love in the clouds, where they cut off so many scenes because it was TOO MUCH. And there are so many things that happened in the novel that for sure won't be shown in the drama. I wasn't only talking about the kissing scenes...
