I just rewatched the controversial last couple episodes.
Again, I think this drama probably appeals to me more bc I’ve found c drama stories repetitive lately but this one is strong with chemistry and likable characters and dynamics. I like that we got lots of romantic moments and to see the couple be a couple. I hate endings that are a panned out reunion kiss.
The only other ending I’ve found as rewarding that I’ve watched is legend of shen li. The only thing I think they should have done was go 40 episodes and flesh out the final arc more, but to me, this is the best drama I’ve seen in a few years.
This is the first c drama I’ve watched in over a year without fast forwarding through anything.
The CP chemistry was best I’ve seen in a while, and the characters were fun. This is a top priority for me as a lot of dramas start to feel boring and repetitive anyway. I need to feel connected to the characters and I definitely did for this one. I’m going to miss them.
I agree the editing was choppy and there were plot holes…. But the story overall was still good.
Same, I really like him. Wish they will give him his own happy ending. I hope he doesn’t have to sacrifice himself…
I agree!! He is the most interesting character to me, he’s so charismatic and kind. I know there’s no chance she ends up with him but I can’t help hoping!
I’m having the same feelings about SML that I did in Ashes of Love. I’m watching mostly bc of him and I am worried his story is heading somewhere bad but I know I’m going to keep watching anyway hahah
I deleted since you found it so offensive! I did feel bad for her, especially when she was practically in tears and telling ppl to give the show a chance and not avoid it bc of her.
I just came back here to say I still have not seen anyone have the same chemistry as Esther and Dylan. LGIEF was so fun and I loved it, but I wasn’t *as* convinced. I miss these two so much and am getting ready to rewatch for maybe the 6th time hahah
I know there’s been like a “clash of titans” of shows released this last month and for me, this was my favorite. I couldn’t watch TSOPG bc it was triggering (thank you to those who warned others). I liked FoF but felt like the director mislead us a little. And this show is the just the breath of fresh air I needed to laugh and cry and just love all the characters and this journey. I’m loving it and I even stopped to rewatch the first 10 episodes again bc they bring me so much happiness.
Pairing Esther Yu and Ding Yuxi together was brilliant. They’re so good together that I can watch without missing seeing her with Dylan Wang. Having so much fun with this show
Schedule is such a mess, no eps for 2 days??? Pure torture But I guess I'm in a win-win situation cuz my schedule…
Can I ask which drama? I may hold on watching ep 16&17 until more drop. Started another drama but not sure how I feel about it yet and recs would be appreciated!
I always love the scene when ZYZ and WX together...just quietly sit beside each other and talk about what they…
This is exactly what i think too! I feel like they have more chemistry with each other than I’ve seen them have with others bc they just seem… on the same wavelength, if that makes sense. Just calm and peaceful, a touch of sadness that they just understand in each other
I’m loving it so far! I haven’t been able to find something I really like for almost half a year now so im so grateful. I think ML and FL have great chemistry. It feels like more than I’ve seen him with in his other shows I’ve watched. And im glad she’s finally getting a good FL role, loved her in TTEOTM (the only villain I’ve ever respected hahah). The whole cast is beautiful really and I also think the shooting style and lighting match the vibe they’re going for. I know the angst is coming but I hope they keep it up!
can someone pls recommend me something with this sort of world building & this sort of relationship - golden retriever…
“Love you seven times” has kind of similar dynamic and same creator as LBFAD. “Legend of Shen Li” has strong FL but also same creator and some similar vibes

I'm probably going to rewatch several times.
