Back when they first met her at the Capital, there was a moment where she asked Miaomiao and Fuyi to leave since her conversation had to be a secret and can only be shared with the Mu family. She told someone that this person resembles someone she knows. I'm guessing here that she was referring to Ziqi, and since she knew of his existence, she saw her brother in him quickly, but couldn't say it out loud.

I had a feeling that, like being a demon, Ziqi refuses to acknowledge his identity. He most likely put two and two together since he's canonically a perceptive person. I do hope they handled this better.

In the middle of episode 23 and things are finally falling into pieces. Each plot seems to be connected to the catastrophe and how Ziqi and Miaomiao are part of it. I'm guessing Fuyi's master is also sucked into the book. 🤔 I called it on Yao's dad having ulterior motives, too. He had that certain vibe the first time I saw him look at Sheng when they adopted him.

Yes, it is the Consort Dowager. If you read the conversation between her and Princess Min about being a Saintess, it was said that Min seem to have lost the memory until recently. It mentioned that the same spell was used on the late Marquis. I think Worry Free Curse is used! The same thing Guo Xiu used on the townspeople of Zhijing.

While I admit that there's too much exposition on Episode 21, I can't exactly complain since we finally get the big picture of what truly happened with the Qilin Mountain.
Can I praise the effects on that nightmare, though? There was a part where the demon dissipated into dust before they put them all in the Consort's nightmare? The effects of the hall turning into the forest was actually pretty good. I think I've seen that effect before but can't recall where it was from. Very cool transition.
Oh, I was dreading to watch episode 20 but it was better than I expected. Easily one of my favorite episodes now. Everyone is back together and both the Princess and Marquis is working with them! I'm excited about what's gonna happen to the Crescent next.
Tell me why my tears started to fall when Ruoshi told Miaomiao about how he'll always give her what she wants. This is a guy who experienced love for the first time, but despite that, he's willing to give up on her when any person who had that power of the bracelet would use that with their selfish means. I'm really glad that he and Ziqi are actually half brothers. I'm sure that they'd end up bonding real soon.
Decided to rewatch episode one and something about the Mirror Demon's explanation as to why she kills grooms is because they were tempted by her. She also said that her master was “deluded. Someone who loved a guy that was married to another woman.” Who wants to assume that the mirror demon was talking about was Ziqi's mom?
Ziqi's so gorgeous when he cries during the headband scene, but my favorite part of the whole episode is him showing the yandere side that I've been missing. I was literally giggling while the Marquis was choking. HAHAHAHA.
