I am Lu Xin. I feel for her. So I am excited to see if she gets a dude when she least expects it.Also, haters…
totally agree. we need the relationship building arc for the emotional investment, so the upcoming angst feels meaningful/deserved. they can't just jump right into the biggest plot point with no development.
I always have a laugh while reading negative douban reviews, they are usually so absurd and ridiculous. cnets are really creative with their insults π
is it just me or does it seem like this show is flying under the radar a bit?
based on what I've read on other websites, I don't think it was promoted very much. it seems like it's more of a 'filler' drama for iQiyi, which makes me sad because it's significantly better than many of the bigger idol dramas released this year π
OK, so Iβm not sure this is a plot hole or someone sees something that I donβt but how does she know that…
yeah, it feels like there should have been a scene in between where we see how she came to that conclusion & came up with the idea π maybe there was originally, maybe it was something that got cut, who knows.
Most actors in this drama use their own voice, but why did they dub cheng lei's voice?? The voice doesn't even…
I'm not sure about the specific case with cheng lei, but it's usually either: he had no time to dub himself, or he has some kind of dialect that native viewers would notice. for international viewers it is a little disappointing to see actors get dubbed, but there's usually a valid reason for it
And again, AvenueX slaughtered LOTFG so badly in her review video π
I just gave it a watch and, honestly, I mostly have the same opinions as her. I thought it was a pretty fair review for her standards. of course personal interest in a drama is subjective, but she mentioned some really objective facts about the shortcomings. specifically, the screenwriters took out the main plot point from the novel (resurrection) and did not properly adjust the other elements to better suit the changes in the adaptation. the result is very messy π
however, if you're enjoying the drama yourself, there's no reason to worry about the opinions of others :) it's also perfectly okay to acknowledge the flaws something has while still enjoying it!
Too much suspension of disbelief especially the fact that they allowed her to wore the mask & didn't question…
you wrote exactly what I was thinking haha. another aspect that bothers me is Xiao Jue not recognizing He Yan's mannerisms, voice, abilities, etc. it seems that they've been separated for some time (the backstory in here was quite choppy & rushed so who knows really), so maybe that's the logic there, but idk! doesn't work for me. just trying to turn my brain off instead π
I did not think much of Li Yitong till I pressed play on this. I'm impressed. actually look forward to seeing…
I watched Warm on a Cold Night awhile back and honestly enjoyed it, even though lots of people seemed to dislike it π I'm really looking forward to seeing her in Sword and Beloved now!
Something i couldn't grasp were her classmates animosity towards her? yeah, they became remorseful after they…
it definitely seems ridiculous to us now, but you've gotta keep in mind this drama is set in the early 2000s when many people had a shallow & ignorant understanding of hiv/aids. there are also cultural differences that we cannot properly grasp as foreigners watching the drama.
