Actually their feelings are genuine. Although the dream sequence is someone else's memory, they "lived" it. Kind of like experiencing a whole lifetime in that one moment. But even after the dream she has to try to get him to fall in love with her anyway because that's the only way the nails will form. In the process she falls for him too and struggles with what she has to do. Dont worry! They will genuinely fall in love and it won't be leftover feelings from the dream!

of it including the emotions. It’s like living a whole lifetime in that dream realm. They remember it all and this is where SuSu truly starts falling for him. However she doesn’t allow herself to stop her mission because she puts the world before herself. There are times in the novel when she hesitates because she loves him although she won’t allow herself to indulge in it.

The Ming Ye arc will feel real to them. It's like living that whole lifetime within that dream sequence. So when they leave, they are different.
