Tongrak and Fort look exactly like Sky and Pai. The sheer confusion on Phayu and Rain’s faces would be gold. They’d be thinking, "Wait, aren't you Sky and Pai? How did you guys get here before us?" 🤣

The character Tongrak reminds me of those American movie heroines who are glamorous, successful, and seemingly invincible, yet underneath it all, they’re fragile and on the verge of a meltdown. Imagine one of these characters having to travel to a small Midwestern town for work. She habitually grumbles about the town’s inconveniences, appearing to look down on everything around her. In reality, her life has been so sheltered that this new environment triggers her defenses.

Tongrak’s all-black outfit upon arriving at the island screams reluctance. He’s not there by choice but out of a half-hearted push to seek inspiration. If Tongrak were a fashionista, he definitely wouldn’t make his grand boat entrance in all black. This outfit choice highlights his internal resistance and unwillingness.

Tongrak’s rudeness towards Fort? Well, that's because Fort constantly tries to invade his personal space. Fort is overly friendly, like a charming roughneck who’s deliberately trying to get under Tongrak’s skin and knock him off his high horse. He reminds me of a farm worker with a Southern accent—rough around the edges but undeniably sexy, treating the city slicker from New York with a mix of rough charm. Fort has his own allure and fortitude; his world revolves around the island, and he takes pride in his Southern drawl and laid-back attitude.

These contrasting dynamics are common in American films and TV shows. Both characters have their own protective walls and kingdoms, but in Mame’s BL universe, this dynamic can make one side seem particularly annoying. Some viewers might find Fort too aggressive, while others might see Tongrak as too haughty. However, if we focus on their similarities—how they both shine in their respective realms yet are confined by them—their quirks become more human and relatable, making them easier to accept.
