Well it depends on how these two are related. If one is a result of the other. If so then showing the wedding would spoil the episode. Also, which of the couples are the main characters of the whole drama. Or encompass most of the episode. How their actions would be followed in the following episodes. If it's two completely separate stories while being equal on the other aspects, then I assume the argument would attract more audience and helps the popularity of the show. People are after Gossips it's part of a human nature to be attracted to other people's disaster rather than happy times.
