I think it's because of lack of knowledge and research from your side. as much as I know , the magic and mythical aspect of chinese literature goes back to way before harry potter novels. . however, if you're a fan of this kind of genre you'll like this story. like how I love both HP and chinese xianxia and wuxia stories.
