Just watched this drama. Liked all characters. I am happy for the ML and FL together. The SML is too weak and…
7.8 score for me. Only skipped a few scenes in the court and the bad prince. Otherwise, I watched every scene and listened to all conversations. The ML is very handsome and I wonder he sang one of the OST. Cried with him during the got out of jail kissing her forehead scene. That’s considered the most loving kiss given to a girl by a 君子. Men and women are not supposed to touch each other in that culture. He got away with being a brother and touched FL quite a few times …
Just watched this drama. Liked all characters. I am happy for the ML and FL together. The SML is too weak and considered a mama’s boy. The ML is considered a straight forward, upright, and decisive man, also a nerd in an Asian way with no lovey dovey attitude. This kind of men is well respected and considered heroes, do anything for righteousness instead of by emotions. In a way, this drama portrays a political propaganda for Chinese citizens to do the right things and not be selfish, focusing on love life!!!! I found the chemistry between both main leads is very normal. Kissing is not common among Asian dramas, depending on the TV broadcasting geographic area. I grew up never saw my parent kiss each other in front of the kids. Obviously, romance is less of a focus in the story line, the wrong must be punished by the right people and people must obey rules.
This is a pretty good show since Love Like the Galaxy. It is satisfying to see many stories in this show that are mostly logical and both leads are great in their own ways. The FL does not have stupid actions or becomes less than the ML. It is a very good script and so happy to watch this: Filial family matters, love stories, scheming for power, little 3rd light bulb effect between the leads, and fighting actions. I would give close to a 9.
So upset! It’s a story anyway. Why can’t the writers keep all good people alive but to kill one off at the very end!!!! Having a good ending should be all around for the side characters as well the main leads. You Fang Yin deserves much more.
I gave up after 15 episodes and skipped to the end. Did the FL have autism? For being almost 30years old and still has the bad tempers and acts like a kid!!!! So unworthy of the love/attention by families and men. Everyone has to give in to her needs and stupid actions. How can people leave their work and business just to cater to her????? Move on to better dramas that has better script.
I am at episode 26. My angst: YSW should have witnessed so many people died in this lifetime to save the future lifetime!!!! TTJ is a good king and did so many good deeds in this lifetime. Also, episode 24, why the heck she left with SL after broke him out of jail? TTJ would never killed SL but kept him in jail only. YSW started all the events in this lifetime causing so much deaths and suffering to TTJ!!! Any thoughts?
I am at episode 16 and I really enjoyed this drama. I am satisfied with the main couple having good chemistry. The ML is a nerd and by the book as well as patriotic. The FL is a young girl with too much energy, smart and kind. Cesar Wu did a good job trying to be a wood headed official. He barely cracked a smile at seldom moment. He did a good job at this role. He also has really good fighting moves. I am very impressed with the cute actors and how tall they are. Worth to watch, especially only 25 episodes!
Did you mean it was King Ruyang? Scene in episode 26 of part 1? If it's true then the answer is yes, at that time…
Thank you very much. Just to confirm my understanding of the drama. This is the first time I really go into small details of each character’s feeling including all side characters. Amazing drama and great story from the beginning to the end. This is a master piece. Some scenes have the resemblance of Gone with the Wind 😂 along with great music accompanying different emotional scenes.
Help please! I am trying to determine why ShaoShang talked to Royal Uncle to break up her betrothal? Was she really want to break up with him at that time? She tried to talk the royal uncle to take back the gifts and listen to his wife. Or was ShaoShang wanted to talk that way to oppositely effect? Ling Buyi was not pressuring her yet until after that. He just did not show up until afterwards.
Help please! When Ling Buyi eavesdroped ShiaoShang and QiQi talking after she ran away with the raccoon eyes, what kind of feeling did Buyi have listening to ShiaoShang’s comments? Was he sad that she mentioned she just wanted a stable husband, not a military hero or a book person.
Rewatched the third time to get more details on the story’s conversations. I never skipped anything in this all three times but Madarin is not my first lingo. Great show. Has a little bit of everything including family dynamics, angst (not crazily bad), politics, wars, wuxia fighting, comedy, romance, harem, dreams/goals, revenge, growing up, different kinds of love between characters with different personalities. I strongly encourage everyone to watch both 1 and 2. I can experience the emotions along with the characters. There were times I felt like I was in the story witnessing the scenes, cried and laughed along with the characters. The songs and music were so greatly interwoven into the scenes, making me more anxious, jumpy, crying, and awe….
Rewatching the third round to get more details on the conversations. Great show. So gracious for having this production. I gave a 10/10 for the best drama in 2022. I also watched Leobe between Fairy and Evil, a 9.5/10 Xianxia type of drama.
