This shows a bit slow up to ep 25 then really starts to pick up the pace, but to me the initial slowness was proper taking the time to build the story and characters backgrounds etc, there are quite a few annoying characters but overall i think it's worth a watch.
Two other 50 ep shows that are worth a look are Once Again and Home Made Love Story both are on netflix. I just reread your post UEE is not in either of them but still take a look...

There are some good ones and there some bad ones, a couple of good ones i can recommend if you want to try another show afterwards are Once Again and Home Made Love Story both on netflix they are long format (50 eps like this show) but very good, at least as far as i'm concerned and there are others lurking around MDL that would agree with me lol.....
