Every artist sent their letter of intents to production team and uses their connections to secure the roles except the first billing actors with huge popularity and experience who gets scripts directly from the team...
If the age gap is the concern for you, there's countless of dramas with age gap where the female lead is around 18 and those dramas also have intimate scenes. Isn't it unfair for kttph to get hatred while excusing those dramas? At least kttph won't focus on extreme romance and won't have any intimate scene. At the end you can't change the casting of none of these dramas.
