It's different perspectives. People won't suddenly think the emperor is a good guy now just cause he helped fan xian but, he did helped fan xian! As a viewer, that is what stood out to me.
I have mixed feelings towards this one character. Sometimes I feel rage over his overbearing demeanor while sometimes I feel nothing. He is nowhere near my favorite characters of jol list. But still, I can't deny there are moments where I, as a viewer, felt like he does have a soft spot for fan xian. 🤷

One thing about wuzhu I want to mention is- I always thought he was a robot but I guess he is another "secret thing" made by the devine temple. And could ye qing mei be the reason of wuzhu refusing devine temple's orders? I mean he is a robot like thingy after all just like si gujian.... So why is he going against them? Maybe she rearranged his codes or whatever you say, that's why some of his memories are missing. Just a theory.
