Yes, war leaves deep scars and there are many things that should never be forgotten. But I also believe remembering…
I agree with forgiveness: if the person made mistakes, he should acknowledge and apologize. The problem is not forgiveness. It's denial of a mistake that happened. In Japan, there is still denial of this atrocity that happened.

I just visited Seoul recently. I went the museum: one of the exhibits was a return from Japan. It was stolen from the Korean people. I am not Korean, but I felt happy for them because a journalist called out this injustice and gathered complaints from around the world.

Mistakes made should be rectified and acknowledged and of course be forgiven.

No we can't forget atrocities happened in these countries. We want to make sure it doesn't happen again.

https://www.history.com/articles/nanjing-massacre

NO things have not changed a lot because SOME Japanese still deny these atrocities happened. I am not going argue because it's factual.

https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cp89ed9j5ygo

People don't need to boycott but somebody needs to speak out. And if that actor really made a mistake, he should clarify. If he does that, he will be forgiven.

The reason that we need to remember these atrocities of the war (and it's not just war, it's actually crimes of wars to rape and steal things and treat prisoners with cruelties) is to make sure that it doesn't happen again.

It's not about casting a person who has an ancestry in the war. It's about him not being sensitive to war crimes when he made the statements regarding his grandfather. He could be innocent. But to the people who have suffered through the war, it's a real thing. And like Jewish people, Chinese and Koreans are especially sensitive to people who deny war crimes! And in this case, even honoring "war heroes" !

Again, I have Japanese friends who are amazing. Collaborations with Japanese are fine. Loving Japanese products /food / music/ movies is fine. But there are those Japanese who glorify war crimes and being nationalistic about them, especially some groups in Japan are still refusing to acknowledge the past! People make mistakes. Own it and move on. Some Japanese won't. This is WRONG.

The actor (if it's a mistake) should come out and make statement that he didn't mean it like that. That he just wanted to honor his grandfather, not as person who would go out to rape women, steal artworks, etc. from Korea and China!

Anyways, people can always do what they want to do, especially if their countries have never been treated badly. But know the facts. Deniers of war crimes or any crimes, whether it's for Japanese TV or any TV IS WRONG!!!! Propagating misinformation and not acknowledging wrong doing encourages repeats of history!

Not as good but still has entertaining value. Cliches but ok.
I am a little bit disappointed in ML whose eyes are not expressive.
But they do have chemistry.

If it's ok for men to have small eyes, why do K females need to have huge eyes???

She needs to be jailed for delaying a flight! And she was! "Korean Air heiress Heather Cho Hyun-ah was jailed for five months in 2015 for her infamous "nut rage" incident in 2014, where she forced a plane to return to the gate over macadamia nuts served in a bag, violating aviation safety laws"

Entitled behavior!!! I think K society as a whole didn't change. Money still have a lot of privilege there. But I am glad that she was held accountable and suffers public humiliation.

Final comment, I promise but wtf?? The father behaved so inappropriately. Like sir you are at work, not your house…
Do you not remember the Korean Air scandal ? This is how entitled the rich are and how they do business in Korea:

"Prior to takeoff, she (heiress of Korean air) was served macadamia nuts in a closed bag rather than on a plate.

Upon being served the nuts in a bag, Cho rebuked flight attendant Kim Do-hee[6][7] and called over cabin crew chief Park Chang-jin[7] to complain because they were not served on a plate.[8] It was alleged that, under Cho's orders, the chief was forced to kneel down before her and beg for forgiveness. Cho repeatedly struck Park's knuckles with the edge of a digital tablet, and summarily dismissed him.[9] Cho ordered the chief to get off the plane, requiring it to taxi back to the airport's gate. The incident created a delay of approximately 20 minutes for the flight with 250 people on board.'"

He can't go out to start a company. He needs to stay there and keep low key until his mom got divorced.

But you are right. She should just do the right thing by quitting instead of having the convoluted excuse of staying on to help the other ladies.

But this is dramatic comedy so anything goes. I guess.

Title Moon River
I started watching this drama from ep 12 to see if it's any good. Since it seems ok, I back tracked to the beginning. Actually, the only thing that's wrong with this drama is body switching sccenario for fillers BUT seems convoluted and unconvincing. I think they should have tried another way to accomplish the narrative without this random act . If you can ignore that, it should be at least 8.5 rating.
It's funny at times. And the acting is good.
