for me the victims all deserve a 10/10 for telling their stories but the producer I think did some things in this documentary that were unnecessary so I gave it a total of 7. Especially the first 2 episodes seemed to push the victims into uncomfortable traumatizing situations to make it more dramatic.

and just give up on ever knowing what the heck is going on?

I can't decide how to rank this show. I want to give the faces of the documentary and the survivors a 10/10 but the producers of the documentary deserve a low score for retraumatizing the victims by dressing them up in jumpsuits and recreating the cell blocks and even tying their hands in rope for the sake of sensationalism? I understand it helps show how truly terrible this was but their stories are more than enough to make that clear.

Its a dark thriller which isn't usually my favorite genre but I'm liking The Defects a fir bit. Its not romance at all. Worth watching but far from being a favorite for me personally.
Its only 8 episodes might as well watch a couple more and see what you think?

The similarity is just that there are a lot of despicable characters in The Defects and a lot of traumatic events for kids but they're really quite different shows.

I literally signed up for tiktok just to check that but im having a hard time finding where they labeled the episodes. If i understand correct they have eps 1-13? Ill keeo checking back to see if they upload more

lol I've never gone through this much trouble to watch something before. Watched first 10 eps on dailymotion with a one minute advertisement every couple minutes. Then I downloaded bilibili to find out its been deleted there so I went back to dm which was supposed to have ep 11-15 but theres 2 sections that dont have any translation and the subs are much worse than the first 10 eps. What a desperate adventure this has been 😆
