not the player gl, 'the player' is a gmmtv show. it doesn't happen in shows advertised as a gl, it happens mostly in shows that have the potential to be a gl so if you watch them on that possibly then you can't be mad because they didn't tell you it would be a gl. it really doesn't matter anyways, if you want to watch the show then do

one example that jumps to mind is the player. the bl couple don't end up together in that and there was a love triangle was with namtan's character. just because you haven't seen it doesn't mean it doesn't happen 😭 it happens more with women and internalised homophobia sure, but it does happen on both ends.

it has the same director yes but directors don't write majority of the time. the writers of the trainee, one of them hasn't had a project since the trainee and the other wrote fist foot fusion so it's pretty unlikely that they will write for this one again. you are right where it happens a lot where it seems like a gl but they choose the man instead. it does happen in bls aswell, just not so much in gmmtv specifically because they are very scared of upsetting fans and so they release carbon copy stories

the plot is really interesting to me regardless and they've changed the entire plot from the original pilot. i've watched the entire show so i'm not a puppet flocking to the gl 🫤

they've changed it, originally it was gonna be jingjing and leng not jan and leng anyways so since there's nothing to suggest jingjing and leng's characters being together it's pretty much guaranteed to be gl
