The amount of times eriko san barges into anego's life. It makes u think if it is actually eriko san who is anego's love interest. I haven't seen a character this annoying. Stole all of our male lead's screentime and didn't even make it worthwhile.
Give me examples of where he performed well. He wasn't memorable enough for me. But now, it doesn't matter so forget it. The show's over and so is my interest in them.
This is the second time I've seen Jae Yong doing so well yet lose to a fucker who made a crucial mistake. Jae Yong you really need to get your luck checked up. Give this show a BIG middle finger and just do solo debut.
It gave off vibes of a comforting drama. So, I mainly watched it for that. I've given a spoiler about how it ends down below. If you are ok with that end then go ahead.
Also, genuinely curious. How does koji and kimiko end up having the best chemistry in both the original and remake than the main couple? I come to watch shifumi×toru but end up staying for just koji×kimiko. Should've just let them be the main instead at this point.
If u observe the pattern n compare ,there were no such thing as censorship, old dramas tend to be more melodramatic…
You presented some really good points to consider. I appreciate your effort but I still consider this end as bullshit because 1) There was no need to make a remake if they were gonna spoil the original's idea. The remake is supposed to be done to present a story better and imo this wasn't in that aspect. It was a copy paste just excluding the end. This is what makes the creators laughable to me. 2) I've seen this kinda outcome more than I should've this year in this trope so that makes me more pissed and done with these "logical" ends.
If they are that concerned about what is appropriate and what is not then why even make a drama of huge age gap like this in the first place? First, make us get hooked to the story and then present to us a completely nonsical ending which leaves a bad taste in our mouth. Why not stick through the original script till the end? If in 2005, they can give us a happy end at last then what views are they so afraid of in 2024?? Was 2005 more progressive than the current year??
Why did they waste the last minutes on fxking qing li??? I was waiting to see nan ya luo and wanwan together or if not together then atleast a glimpse of them one last time but they left nan ya out like everyone else in the drama itself.
They could've wrapped it up nicely without cancer bullshit but no that would've been against the taste of sadistic screenwriter. Promising premise and characters went down the drain for me when the screenwriter pulled up with this "twist". I so wanted to downrate it to 1 star cause of this but the brilliancy actors showcased in the work is what held me back.
