Idk why but vipa site is unresponsive for me. It would be one thing if the show was not available in my region but it just takes me to homepage and becomes unresponsive after that.
It was going alright until the fl's friends started touching ml inappropriately and the drama trying to pass it off as a 'joke' was what put a bad taste in my mouth. Let it be a man, woman or "friends". This should be an unacceptable behaviour from anyone! I don't understand how the FL is best friends with such people. This the type of stuff to draw a line for.
This could've been my comfort drama if it wasn't for na sheng. She acts as a strong repellent for me whenever I come close to add this to my favourites. I hate how an underbaked romance of main leads is pushed into our faces to the extent of sidelining the actual plot. To top it over with na sheng and her love affair which I absolutely couldn't give two fxks about. And last being how I like FL more with crown prince than su mo. I like all of the main leads. Its just su mo and fl doesn't really have strong backstory to support their 'forbidden romance' whereas crown prince and her have things which makes sense for them to be a couple especially when he's not usual arrogant kinda type. I don't like romance as a genre but I am a sucker for forbidden romance because of its forbidden element so it's really dissappointing when I see stories like these on television or paper where it's not handled with care and comes off as lame. It sure is an interesting story so I'll definitely be reading the novel to properly judge the quality of this story since it's explicitly mentioned everywhere that it was not a good adaptation.
I havent watched the show, Im doing some research on it, so take what I say with a grain of salt. "How many…
no actually when it is a couple years old drama. I don't really expect anyone to be up and here to browse comments. Yeah, there could be a possibility of it happening but it was so sudden that I resorted to clarifying.

See? I told you. I don't watch mainstream dramas and the ones you listed are all that so I don't know what's up with them. I can only comment on the ones I watch and criticise what doesn't align with me about it as a viewer which was exactly the case with this drama. But yeah I understand your frustration and tbh it is valid cause we all have a couple about certain drama tropes anyway.

Let it be man or woman, I don't agree with any person apologising to anyone for rejecting them. No person owes an apology or an explanation to anyone for not liking them. If they still do it then it is a nice gesture which can be appreciated but it is certainly not an obligation. Can I ask examples of such dramas or a trope where you consistently see them? It's either I don't watch these type of dramas where this is a norm or I can't recall any where I've seen it cause again I don't see them although I've seen this scenario rolling in same manner (with the exception of earning her back) but for different reasons in revenge or slice of life dramas where fl gets wronged by "ml" for various reasons.
This should NOT be glorified. Luo Yin seemed more like a ragdoll to me for Gu Hai than a lover. I just abhorr the way sa's were wrapped with the cover of "ROMANCE". I'm GLAD it got cancelled unfortunately NOT for the reasons I would WANT it to be!
