novel readers is the ml a simp with no self respect? hopefully not

I was talking specifically about the romance. From what I’ve heard, the FL left him twice and he’s the one doing all the chasing. She also has a child with him but keeps saying it isn’t his until the end, and she lies a lot to him to make the ML stop chasing her. So I just hope they tweak that dynamic a little in the drama.
You can’t change the female-centric  because ML doesn’t really have a goal of his own until he meets the FL. A lot of people have already said that the romance dynamic is uneven, and you know ZLH fans they a bit crazy like i just see it if they follow how the romance in the novel presented the fl's character would get hated

Hopefully, they change it in the drama. There are some people saying that the FL wasn’t honest until the very end and that she did a lot of denying and being avoidant. I like Jelly Lin, so I don’t want her character to get hated, especially when the other lead has a massive fanbase.

I've read some Chinese discussions saying that the romance in this is very one-sided. Hopefully they change that because it's ZLH.
