I came here for the cast: Renbutsu Misako (Sayonara Anata), Doi Shiori (Tora ni Tsubasa), Wago Yui (Percent) and ended up watching VR Ojisan, which was unexpectedly amazing. As a big fan of Asadoras I never knew about Yorudoras. Thanks for the recommendation.
Currently rewatching. At first glance she seems to be an air-head, but in reality she‘s quite smart, even more than she‘s aware of. That‘s what made this one of my favorite dramas.
Episode 8 painfully reminded me of the Kyo-Ani incident in 2019. Do a search on Shinji Aoba if you don‘t know about it. I‘ve donated 250 EUR to the victims and the bereaved back then. And that did not make me feel better.
Once again an asadora about some random girl from some random prefecture doing random things. Truly horrible synopsis, reminds me of Welkame. But the screenwriter did Kansatsui Asagao, one of the finest human dramas out there, so there's still hope.
I never could force myself to start watching an endless Taiga. An Asadora based on the protagonist might have been the better choice, but nowadays I wonder how much would we be able to watch actual facts and how much it would be just fiction?
Amazingly awesome. I recall to have watched another CODA theme show earlier... The main actor did a very convincing job and Ai Hashimoto, having matured, astonished me for the first time since her appearance in Amachan.

With now 20+ years of Jdorama experience, this asadora tops it all. No filler week as in other asadoras, not even a single filler episode. Not about some random girl in some random prefecture doing random things. Each episode leaves me with tears of joy, except from the painful ones, of course.
For me it even surpasses the masterpiece Otoko wa tsurai yo, 50 movies about my hero named Tora-san (see the similarity?) which I‘ve rewatched several times.
Don‘t just think of this to be about feminism. Yes is is, and it has to be, but also it‘s a universal story about underdogs. Go and watch some random Kdrama if you are interested in how the FL and the ML get together.
I recall how excited I was when I‘ve read that there will be an asadora starring Sairi Ito. But I could never imagine how amazingly it would turn out.
Just watched the first 3 episodes. Somehow the plot reminds me of some random K-Drama: Rich family, poor family, a heiress, greed, jealousy. People get hurt, people trying to take advantage of each others, people get killed. Evil people acting evil, good people acting evil just because the circumstances are forcing them to do so.
Old-fashioned. A tear-jerker for sure. But much more haunting compared to most of the contemporary J-Doramas nowadays. Go for it if the current season just features mediocre shows!
Unfortunately only 15 out of 28 episodes got subbed. Nevertheless: It is definitely worth the watch!
I think this was amazing. I was expecting the plot to be "the wheelchair person arrives and everything turns out to be "happy-go-lucky"
But it was exactly the opposite. The uneasiness of the protagonists interacting with each other left the viewer in an uneasy state as well. The drama did not try to offer a solution, it did not try to teach nor to preach. Very well done!
I'm quite sure that in the remaining weeks we will see more about the aftermath of the case which came to an end in this week.
