Kim Jung Hyun is a big actor. He’s at a point in his career where he naturally won’t be taking Support Roles. JTBC lists him as a Main Role. So that’s that.
Is Jae-Pil’s affection for YR forced proximity or him projecting JH in her?
More chances of forced proximity. Everybody keeps telling him that he likes her even though he himself does not know. Now when multiple people push someone towards an idea, people unconsciously start thinking the same.
I don’t know how to describe episode 7 left me. It was as if I was among them. As if I enjoyed my life with them right then and there. Like nostalgia for things I didn’t even experience. Seeing them become a big family brought tears to my eyes. This really is an underrated gem.
I am just upset since I am seeing the possibility of getting JeongJong ending vanish.

I’ve been meaning to watch it. Unfortunately it’s not available in my region on Viki. Thanks for the recommendation, I’ll watch it when it’s available.

I agree that anyone can become disabled at any point of time. I am not denying that at all. But can you clarify what was stupid in my statement? Characters don’t even sneeze unless the writer wants them too. I already know the harsh reality of workplace hazards, more so how women are more prone to accidents than men because the safety system is setup around men. I am simply questioning the writer’s reasoning.

So now I can’t be sympathetic toward a character losing her leg? And do you actually want me to list all "a million ways" the writers could’ve handled it differently? :) That’s obviously a figure of speech, not sure if you're just being literal on purpose. Do you perhaps look at the sky and look for cats and dogs when people say it's raining cats and dogs?
But since we're going there: yes, we could’ve still had the social justice angle and shown YR’s leadership without Hae Ja losing her leg. For example, she could’ve gone into a coma, or been seriously injured but ultimately recovered. The impact on YR’s character development could have remained just as powerful without resorting to something that felt excessive or needlessly cruel.
I get what you're saying about YR's compassion and big-picture thinking, and I agree, that’s important. If they'll pick up Hae Ja later and her lost leg becomes a part of the story, then everything's fine. But if it was just a way to get rid of the character, then it's pretty cruel in my opinion.
I am going to ugly cry if Yeong Rye is not with Hyun.
I’ve not read the story but I’ve heard that in the book, Daddy Long Legs ends up with the girl he was helping. So you know…
