Back to the Micro Dramas world, but considering trying out "Blossoms in Adversity".Also, awaiting the…
Blossoms in Adversity is one of my favorites... it might feel a bit slow at the beginning and the characters might annoy you but they ALL grow so it's quite satisfying. I personally think it's a better story.. and better storytelling than POJ. You'll also have to excuse the mediocre acting of Hu Yitian.

yah they didn’t need to give me all those scenes for me to understand that SML was possessive. I think just…
Also, I had lost interest in the events from 17 years ago because they would bring it up all the time but nothing significant about it happened throughout the whole drama. Then at the end they dumped all the info about what really happened. I wished they kept revealing things here and there like how they did at the beginning about FL's father.

IMO, the weakest part of this drama is the YQQ and QM storyline. I think a little less of them and more on developing other parts or characters of the story, especially ML's uncle, the princess, and the emperor. The mystery around YQQ's background wasn't really interesting at all, and they didn't do anything with it. What I didn't like about this drama is similar to what I didn't like about Blossom, so I have mixed feelings about this director—good cinematography, but the story lacks emotional impact, especially the ending. It tried, but I found myself feeling apathetic about it. I did enjoy most of the drama, and it was really entertaining. I laughed more than I expected. 8/10

I guess bc of censorship, the love scene in ep 38 was underwhelming. I actually prefer their kiss outside the window in ep. 33. I felt like there was more longing and passion. And imo it was shot better.

If there's going to be romance, I hope it's a will-they-won't-they trope. But I wonder if the almost wedding at the beginning foreshadow anything for the ML and FL?

Title Pursuit of Jade Spoiler
man it really is hard to kill SYQ. Even when he was got stabbed, I kept thinking why is it taking him so long to die. It was a good ending for a memorable villain.

What drama did most of you discover Zhang Lin He ? Mines was Love Between Fairy and Devil and I first watched…
Maiden Holmes. First impression I thought he was just okay but he grew on me really fast. He seemed young for that role though. Seeing him in a modern drama like sparkle love seemed to suit him well. For TXW, I first watched her in New Life Begins. She was really good in that one and she had good chemistry with Bai Jing Ting. I would watch them collab again.

Was reading some random FB post and apparently one of TXW nickname is weightlifting fairy…which suit her character…
I feel like a few years ago she carried one of her male co-stars in another drama. Romance on the Farm? I could be wrong.

Legend of female general was very disappointing for me. There were some episodes that I loved but more than half…
honestly, I think majority of cdramas are purely for entertainment (due to all the overdone tropes) so i wouldn't take most of them that seriously. Like POJ is definitely fun and entertaining but I don't know if it'll leave a lasting impression on me but that's my personal opinion and experience with most cdramas.

It feels like we're going to get a little break from dimples and get more scenes of the other psycho brother. I'm actually kinda sad about this lol.

Yea I mostly didn't like the last couple of episodes. I think her character exceeded my expectations because she was actually strong and had the wit of a general and that's one of the main reasons I stuck to it. And of course for Cheng Lei too. lol

3 eps so far. Is the main conflict in this show basically the emperor being awful and all the palace politics…
yea sorta. The emperor gets more awful and annoying as the drama progresses but he doesn't take up too much screen time. He shows up when needs to. The drama is definitely worth it to see Hua Zhi and the women in her family grow and get out of their bad situation. And also the romance is pretty good and very mature. You just have to ignore the ML's mediocre acting. His character is amazing but the actor is not.

It's torture whether you wait until later or if you wait each day for a new episode so you might as well start watching again. haha

I was sad for her knife.
The knife was her trademark but I guess if she keeps going into battle, she'll need to carry a different weapon. Maybe this is a turning point for her.. she killed the enemy general solidifying her reputation as a formidable warrior/hero and she's so much more than just a butcher now.
