She didn’t lie to the grandmother. She told her everything. Not entirely sure why you think she didn’t.
The grandmother told her to assume the identity to get justice for her son and granddaughter and all the people the bandits killed.
She also ask her to stay and assume that identity when goodeoki wanted to resume her life after it was done
