Only at ep 3 but so far I'm liking it. The only thing bugging me is the reporter KMY's 'rudeness', not sure if it's the right word to use. Like the way she talks down on JKO, take his things, just enter his car treating him like her driver, etc. I think it was meant to be some kind of 'comedy', perhaps kind of like a slapstick. I guess I'm not use to this kind of comedy. Other than that, I'm enjoying the show.
I don't think so. I understood it as she died once only when she was 32. Her reappearance at 33 was more like a 'time-travel' from when she had the car accident years ago, instead of a 'ressurrection' from her death at 32. So I interpreted her disappearance in the end as her time-travelling back to when she was in the 6 weeks coma resulted from the car accident. That's how I saw it. Maybe someone else may interprete it differently.
LOL, in my end only the raw eps aired last night. I stayed up and watched it even though I don't understand Korean. Now the sub is just only 85% and 57% done. I'm waiting until they're all done, then I watch the second time. LOL.
It's disturbing, but I think these types of teacher/student issues happen often. Enough that many countries consider it illegal. KHN and LWK are great actress/actor.
OMG I almost threw up in the middle, wasn't sure if I could finish it.
He's way of revenge is DEFINETLY-TOTALLY-EXTREMELY-NOT RIGHT-NOT OK. But tbh, the 'crooked' side of me kind of 'cheered' him on, even though he was a coward and became an accomplice initially.
couldn't wait, just watched it without the subs. I can actually figure out what's going on. It's sweet. Nicest loan shark I ever seen LOL. Now I can sleep. wake up tomorrow and watch it again with sub :)))
Why are you comparing a 2hrs movie to a 40+ episodes drama anyways? Not discrediting UT in any way but of course…
I see your line of thinking. If you require the number of eps as a criteria for comparison, then yes TU would not be a good choice.
It really depends on how strict you want to be. If eps is the only criteria, then I can list many bromance movies that I find more convincing. But if you require more, say that it has to be like TYYM, that it's Chinese, it's 'Wuxia', it's non-blood related bromance, etc etc. , then that'll be harder.
If you're willing to forgo the fact that they have to be non-blood related, but keep the eps, then the movie "The Untamed: Fatal Journey" would be my choice. The 'bromance' there I'd discribe it as 'solid' and 'stable', and in that sense it was convincing.
If you are willing to forgo more criterias, except the number of eps, then there are many movies I can list. Inseperable brothers and My Annoying Brother are two Korean modern bromance movies I absolutly love and the 'bromance' is undeniably good . IB are friends, MAB are blood related.
Your point about the 'bromance' was not the main point of the movie is noted. I may have had expectations since it's tagged 'bromance'. Probably that's why it was not convincing.
I'm not able to tell if you are dissatisfied with my logic, or if you got upset by a criticism made about TYYM. If it's the former, I accept as I made assumptions. If it's the latter, then I'm not sure. I'd rather you accept it as my opinium, which it's understood to be subjective, and just agree to disagree. In any case, it's all good :-).
It's funny, you actually prompted me to watch more Wuxia now LOL. :-)
Soonyi's the adopted daughter of Tae Ho, right? I think she died. And it seems they 'collected' her DNA so Tae…
Do you mean when TH connected with her via Dorothy? or in the beginning when TH lost her? In the begining, TH did look for her, he went to the 'government(?) department' to register the search, but he was not a 'citizen', so they will only help him if he pays cash, which he didn't have. So his worked hard to earn money for several years, but was never enough. He has a wrist band that notifies him if they find Sonnyi, but he was still waiting after several years. In the scene when he connected with Soonyi via Dorothy, I'm actually not sure now after your question. When I watched it, my take was Soonyi died already, but they were able to retriéve her DNA, so TH was able to connect with her for a brief moment with D's help. And S dissipated after TH met her.
Hm. Maybe another viewer could post some additional points that I've missed. Hope at least this helped a bit. Cheers :-)

I'm still feeling sick right now.
