Too many of y'all have bizarre expectations for a comedy. Despite the initial oddness of the voice overs, I found the first episode very interesting and amusing. I'm looking forward to the next episode, and it is disappointing to see yet another show getting instant hate on this site this year. It's starting to seem like the bl comment sections are just here so that international viewers have a space to complain.
More and more Bls are using condoms.. I hate when an established couple use condom, they can’t get pregnant,…
Condoms also provide the lubrication necessary to reduce the risk of tearing and other dry friction issues while adding to the pleasure of the receiver.
Hooked in 10 minutes...why? How? WTF FR!!?? Idk why I am in love with this but I am....maybe I'll find the words to explain this to myself and others soon. For now, I just know I needed this series....Like really needed it in my life.
I hate that I'm only watching this show for the second couple. I love that Muang was so desperate and worked so hard to win over the Dr. that he keeps him by his side without any of the concerns that couple 1 is letting ruin their romance.
You explained your point of view well and I can agree, except for the point #2. I don't undersrand what you mean…
secret to the rest of society...like Marine is the secret lover of Yiwa as far as the majority of their social circles would know. I'm glad you are more open minded than many others :)

Without seeing him suffer as he has been and things like running home to family, many viewers would not feel as much affection for Nuea's character. Viewers would also be more harshly judgemental of him for his being willing to so easily jump into being the secret lover in a marriage of convenience.
Well, the series ends for me with episode 23. It is my favorite series this year and my second favorite series ever, but I cannot bear to watch the last episode until season 2 is released. Those of you who do, are either stronger than I am or like to suffer. Either way, may you reap joy soon after :)
aaa don't want to accept that it's gonna be over tmrw...they better not ⏩️⏭️ 10 years in just 2 episode..srsly…
Not bromance. They have been wearing couples' clothing for 6 episodes, SuYu has been sharing WuBi's bed for at least 4 episodes, and they've been having sex for at least 3 episodes.
Why wouldn't you take someone somewhere you already know they love and likely see as a comfort zone? Also, when…
so, you disagree that the sponsors funding a series should be well represented in that series within Thai industry standards? What would the sponsor be paying for then?
YiwaMarine should be banned from kissing onscreen because WHAT WAS THAT? Yiwa was working but Marine was....breathing??…
Why wouldn't you take someone somewhere you already know they love and likely see as a comfort zone? Also, when the sponsor is providing a hefty chunk of money, you make sure that sponsor is well-represented.
I actually really like nuea's character. Though he may come of as "silly" he knows his limits and what he should…
Yes! Those were the least passionate kisses I've seen between women playing lesbians or actual lesbians. I'm super excited about getting to meet Nuea's family and the change of location too :)
Marriages of convenience are very common, and that's precisely what this type of marriage is. Two homosexual people who have been friends for at least a decade get married to each other to please their parents by providing a heteronormative family union that is socially acceptable and will allow both families to save face.
I am the product of such a union, so I may have more of a soft spot for this storyline than many.
For me, this story seems very well-written and pretty realistic...even Lom dragging out telling Nuea for fear that he will lose him before he really even has him. The ep 4 scene of Nuea calling his mom and breaking into sobs of confusion and despair over being in love with Lom and seeing their relationship as both socially impossible and morally reprehensible was perfect, as was Lom's desperate need to reconnect with Nuea and Marine's comment to Yiwa about how she is used to the accusations and mistreatment by Yiwa's mother. Bravo, Mame, the director, and all four leads!!!
As evidenced by some other commenters, many people would run from such an arrangement (which is 1000% understandable), and others see it as a "fake" marriage. This type of marriage is very real as marriage across most cultures (including Christianity) has been primarily and was originally a way of uniting families under the law, thus guaranteeing mutual benefits. It is/was a way of consolidating power, wealth, and property, building alliances, ensuring the continuation or perceived enhancement of bloodlines, improving or maintaining social status, and ensuring rights to national/local/international marriage-specific benefits.
Marriages of convenience for people like Lom and Yiwa tend to start falling apart under scrutiny as more social norms are stacked onto the simple union, such as the expectations of moving into a situation (often the husband's familial home) where the union will be closely monitored, producing children, and shows of physical affection. In Lom and Yiwa's case, I think their parents' expectations will push them to a breaking point where they will be forced to come out to their families, and heartache will ensue. My hope for this series is that our delightful Nuea ends up planning a double wedding.
So far, I love the pacing and how they slowly reveal the family dynamics at the heart of this story. I'm really excited for episode 5 since we see Nuea's family make Lom run the proverbial "gauntlet" to prove his love (based on the preview). Oh, and the end of ep 4 was exceptionally well executed! Not so graphic as to become too NC too fast, and also with a lovely degree of passion and the sweetness of new love. I also love how realistic for his personality Nuea's reaction to the night is, with him feeling both guilty and angry and just running away to try and figure out things without the pressures of those who put him in this state and with those who provide him unconditional love and support.
I know a lot of commenters here find much of the content implausible. I disagree, and the following rant explains why....skip if you don't feel like reading a list of complaints stemming from other comments on this show.....
The misunderstandings aren't implausible at all based on my experience with hearing all about the love lives of a wide variety of 20-30-year-olds. It also takes a great deal of fortitude to risk losing the person you've fallen for by just coming right out with the truth of a marriage of convenience, though I do think he should have explained the situation when Nuea asked if he was being forced into marriage...it was a perfect opening.
The use of McDonald's is necessary because they heavily sponsor the show, and it makes sense since people often prefer fast food as comfort food and rewards when they spend much of their lives eating the standard national cuisine.
As a professor at a public university with weekly frat and sorority parties, "thirsty Thursdays," and heavily promoted bar crawls, I can also attest to the reality that falling down/snoozing/stumbling drunk is not the same as passed out drunk and that lots of falling down/snoozing/stumbling drunk men and women are still fully capable of and interested in having sex, especially after a nap. Lom being drunk was also necessary for the storyline for many reasons:
1. to show the depth of Lom's depression.
2. as a final delay tactic since audiences would like Nuea less if he had already been told the truth about the wedding and decided to date Lom anyway.
3. to give a plausible reason for Nuea to put him in bed.
4. to give Nuea an opening to confess his feeling and frustrations to Lom in a way that best fits his non-confrontational personality.
5. to show that Nuea had fallen so hard for Lom that he wasn't strong enough to resist Lom's drunken advances despite being mostly sober.
6. to give Nuea a reason to feel enough guilt to run away.
7. to provide drama.
This leads me to one of the most confusing things for me and one of the primary reasons I only minored in screenwriting....this is a drama series, not a 2hr or less movie, but a series, so why do watchers whine about the "unnecessary drama?" What exactly do you expect in a damn series? If it revolved around only necessary drama, you'd have 2-3 episodes at the most, so....a movie. And dislike of series with red flag characters? There are hundreds of BL series...I challenge anyone to name just 10 with no red flag main characters that are worth watching. A BL with only green flag main characters are also sweet, cute, and a nice change of pace sometimes, but also often super unrealistic (and pretty boring). Why do you think so many Korean men and women are warning Westerners not to believe what they see in K-Dramas because most Korean men aren't green flags in reality.
It was okay, and that's the best I can say about it since Akagi made season 1 worth watching, and he's broken up with Akagi for 3 years when this begins. This is a prequel for season 2, but not really any kind of continuation of season 1 since he's not even a teacher now :(

and now I'm done with my rant.
