that’s definitely one aspect of it.. but I’ve read somewhere that his dislikes for omegas is due to his family. his mother is omega. now I don’t know the exact reasons or dynamics of it.. but yeah it’s one of the reasons!

Hi! Before I answer you, I just want to say... their story is the most cliché thing ever, straight out of a fanfiction. Like, literally every aspect of it follows such a popular omegaverse trope. And honestly? I'm a sucker for it. I’ve read so many stories like this, so my opinion is going to be totally biased.

Now, onto the actual answer:
It’s so obvious that Shen Wen Lang is in love with Gao Tu, and has been for years, even since they were younger. Just look at the flashbacks: he bought him that drink, followed him to every one of Gao Tu’s workplaces... He’s always been drawn to him.

The thing is, he’s incredibly dense when it comes to his own feelings. And now he’s insanely jealous at the mere thought of Gao Tu spending time with some ‘omega.’ Officially, he can’t say anything, he’s Gao Tu’s boss, and it’s technically none of his business. But the jealousy eats him up, and the only way he knows how to react is to lash out.

also, of course he dislikes omegas for some personal reason/trauma too (which I don't know yet, since i haven't read the book) but when it comes to Gao Tu, it’s different. It’s not that he hates the scent ONLY because it’s an omega’s scent. He hates it because it’s someone else’s scent on Gao Tu.
It’s jealousy and unspoken longing, plain and raw, masked behind cold words and passive-aggressive digs. (now of course there's no other omega in this scenario but he doesn't know that yet)

so yeah there's more to their story than meets the eye. If you think their story hasn't started yet, then you're mistaken!
