Btw my only teeny tiny issue with this show is that they’re relying on plot armor a bit too much… like Yang Zhen’s birthday just happening to align with the late emperor’s and meeting all the other requirements felt like a stretch. I’d have preferred seeing Zhang Hai use some kind of clever, logical strategy to trap the villains instead of things just magically working out for him. But like I said earlier, it doesn’t bother me that much..

So basically, it’s about two totally different souls sharing the same body. The story starts when the female lead dies in her own world and wakes up in someone else’s body. From that point on, both souls coexist… fully aware of each other’s presence. They can communicate mentally, coordinate their actions, and even take turns controlling the body. Since they’re two different characters, their mannerisms are different when they’re handling the body. The original owner of the body is shy, timid girl Mei jiu & another soul who transmigrated from different world is more bold, unhinged & ruthless assassin An jiu.. hope this helps…

Btw, this is my least favorite spread so far… because I couldn’t find better pictures of this outfit 😭😭 I searched for hours without any success... and the ones I did find had similar angles, so none of my usual templates worked out. So I ended up with a simple collage spread 😔
