"...Hell is too cold Mo Ran, let me accompany you" - Chu Wanning
While the line itself may not be the most beautiful or poetic compared to other scenes, it resonates deeply with me... Throughout the story, Chu Wanning is portrayed as a standoffish character with a thin face, someone who values his pride and reputation so much that he often does foolish things... like not asking for help even when he desperately needs it. But here, his love surpasses all inhibitions. Nothing matters to him anymore but Mo Ran. Without hesitation, he's ready to lose it all, even set the world on fire, to save his beloved. For some reason, this scene feels more beautiful to me even compared to their confession...
AAAH WHAT THE HELL JUST HAPPENED IN THIS CHAPTER?! Hua Rong Jian MARRIED Mei Ruyan?? Like... WHAT?? 😭😭 Okay…
sameee... their interactions were so funny sometimes and even tho it started with a fight, An Jiu genuinely seem to care for him later.. the progress between them was so wholesome... I loved their scenes together so much! I wish we get to see at least little bit of that in a drama (which seems unlikely to happen)....
Also judging by the trailer, they seem to have changed Hua Rong Jian's personality too.. he was so shameless and frivolous in the book.. in trailer he seems so sweet and elegant..

Oh, thank you so, so, sooo much for clearing that up! I was genuinely confused because, in the drama, they paired him up with Mei Jiu. So when I was reading the book, I was literally waiting, thinking, "How are they going to cross paths? How are they going to fall in love when she's married to his brother?" Like, lol, I fried my brain cells trying to guess the plot! Now, thank you... I won't wait for this storyline, knowing that it doesn't happen...
It kind of feels bittersweet, to be honest. Now he'll have all the scenes with Mei Jiu in the drama, since they're supposed to be a pair, and he won't have scenes with An Jiu, as he won't be interested in her (unlike in the book). I genuinely enjoyed his dynamic with An Jiu in the book, which will be missing in the drama...😭😭
Oh why does it looks like it's been 100 years since I last saw them on my Fyp , I guess I miss them then 😫😭https://x.com/vannduzsx/status/1917136968338846092?t=0U3JgzrXiMKyg2MztLYDfQ&s=19
I've already set it for May 7, don’t care what youku says, it's happening on that date
I ended up liking his story, haha. Honestly, I have no issues with the pacing since I enjoy slow-burn dramas. However, there were times when it felt like the momentum was lost, and the story would shift to different direction, only that was a little bothersome... (also I think we should use spoiler mode 😅😅)

Ohh, I’ve dropped a few too… and they’re so long, there’s no point in forcing yourself to finish them. Yeah, GJM’s work is really beautiful. I wasn’t so sure about the story at first, but I knew I’d stick around for the aesthetics and the beautiful people anyway 😝😝😝

Same here, honestly... been waiting for this since February, and dealing with new rumors every other week was so frustrating. At least we finally got the trailer! Now, let’s just hope we get the show soon and no more rumors...
